Case really knocked it out of the park with this machine. It’s just to bad it hit the market when it did as I am sure many operations will have a hard time getting this to pencil out for them right now. That light package is also amazing it’s like a football stadium on tracks!

As always Jason, thanks for excellent videos and I have been a subscriber for a long time. I like the idea of dumping on the go into a semi instead of into a cart. Less grain augering without a cart means less fines in the grain, less manpower required, less fuel used, less wear on machinery and higher profits. With a semi pulling a 40 foot trailer there would be approximately 500 bu or 15 tons on the 8 back wheels of the trailer. On the twin drive axles of the semi a fair distance forward of the rear wheels of the trailer, there would be roughly the same weight on these 8 wheels. With your average 1000 bu or 30 ton cart there are only 2 wheels to carry this load. 2 tracks compact a larger area and are more expensive to maintain than wheels. Green chopped corn forage silage is heavy and it is loaded into semis. Potatoes, sugar beet and various vegetable crops are unloaded on the go from the harvesters directly into semis. Check out this video of wheat harvesting and unloading directly into a semi trailer. 2024 crop report - box elder.

I'm sorry, but the math don't add up. At 4.7mph, 40' at 80% field efficiency does add up to 18.3 acres per hr. At 6500 bu. Per hour that's 361bu. Per acre, wet corn, OK maybe??? But..... 10 hrs. Per day that's 65,000 bu. for 1 machine, let alone 2. If he had said 100,000+bu. per day, then that's more like it. Never the less, it's a beast of a machine.

@Zero01k 4 күн бұрын
Not to sound insulting, but the Welkers crop yields, to most of the wheat growing world, are a lot lower yield per acre that most of the rest, it's not all that impressive to go through a crop that fast that's only yielding on average 20 bu/ac. This is not a jab at them, their ground can only do so much, they most likely will never push a huge machine to it's limit most of the time, hence why they use a class 8 horsepower size. They really don't need much bigger with how their crops yield. And most if us don't have fields flat enough to run a combine 10 mph, so once again, not that impressed really.

Love the channel. I believe the type of combine is an Axial flow vs axel flow. It’s “Axi-al” might be your accent. The axial flow certainly is a game changer. Awesome when you have a 2 row, then a 16 row the next video. Welker farms just harvested wheat using an AF11. Monster.

In 1977, after extensive engineering efforts and a bottom up design, IH released the 1440 and 1460 models of rotary harvester. In 1978, the larger model 1480 was released, as well as the specialty models 1470 (for hillside operation), and the 1482, designed to be pulled behind a tractor with PTO capability.

Since the tractor and combine can synchronize their speeds when unloading on the go, I think that with GPS; it would also be a helpful idea if the spout on the end of the auger could track the centerline of the cart or truck when unloading on the go.

Was aware of the twin rotor AF 11 combine, but had no idea that an AF 10 model also existed - when was that introduced ? Also, as a single roto machine, presumeably the AF 10 combine has a narrower body than the AF 11 model ? In regard to rotor stats, what is the diameter and length of the AF 11 combine rotors, compared to the AF 10 model ? One would assume that to gain even more harvesting capacity, an increase of rotor diameter would be the most cost effective way to do this, whilst still remaining within overall machine body width restrictions - an AF 12 model being a potentially even higher capacity machine without having to spend obscene amounts of money on developing a brand new platform ?

Af 10 rotor is 30x 144.5” with 180 degree of concave wrap af 11 is 24x141” with 140 degrees of wrap I believe they are identical in every over way same width, hp grain tank ex. I think the 10 will keep up in crops where grain damage is a big concern like corn and especially beans might even out do 11 but 11 will have more capacity in grains
