OK as always you share the everyday parts to your life adventure beautifully! A pity I missed the Tractor Pull this year period. Would of been fun to hang for sure!!!!

I like the on-board camera angle. It's nice to see the driver's perspective during a pull for a change. Thanks for the video!

Hey 03800rev, I just took this video for a friend. I don't know a whole lot about pulling tractors. I'm not on his pit crew or involved with the tractor so yeah I really don't a lot of the specifics of this tractor. Thanks for the comment. Sorry on not having an answer for you.

Thanks SuperTurboDiesel2! I'm glad you this on-board camera angle. That was what I wanted to try and capture was Craig Ladwig's perspective of pulling his tractor to share with all of you.

Hey BlazerTrax, thanks for the comment! Yeah i would imagine it would be scary if it blows up. I actually took this video for a friend so I'm as curious as you on how it would feel driving one of these!

Again thanks racing2488 for comment. You bring up a good explanation of a way they have found to make a Cummin's work.Correct me if I wrong but I'm pretty sure that they can't bore out a smaller Cummin's that is under the NTPA cubic limit and make it hold up.It's not Cummin's fault or cut to them. They're motor is designed for the lot less power they have in a tractor or semi. It's just a fact that newer motors they aren't going to with the modern technology of computer's waste too much material

Hey racing2488. Thanks for the comment. That wasn't until recently they started running V8's for International tractors. That's still kind of a limited amount of pullers that are doing what you're saying like the recent Blackbourn motors for Chizek. With the 6 cylinder they won't run Cummin's I pretty sure on. I was commenting with old information. I correct in that they can't take like the size 466 block of the equivalent in a Cummin's and make it hold up. You're talking a bigger block destroke

Thanks SuperFarmerman1, Glad you like the video! That was my idea was giving view of what the driver pretty much sees and experiences. I used a GoPro camera.

@MrRagingbull83 I video taped this for a friend. I can tell you this is a IH 466 block they start with. The Cummins is not strong enough block to with stand the 1,500 plus horse power these Pro Stocks have. Like nobody uses a Cummins. I've heard they can't withstand half the power the 466 can. The Cummins is a computer designed block so it doesn't have the extra meat in it the old 466 does.

Hey simonspics. I will be honest with you I just took the video for Craig. So I'm not the one driving the tractor. I don't know your answer. I will try to remember to ask him next time I see him.

He went 287 feet. They had a floating finish in this particular pull, so it was just whoever went the farthest in first run. Normally it's either 300 feet and NTPA I think now does 320 feet for sure in pull off or top 3 over 300 feet.

When the engine is gaining rpms what gauges are you watching just before you release the clutch? I also noticed the engine runs rough at certain rpms?
@Durallymax13 жыл бұрын
@simonspics1 drive pressure, boost pressure, exhaust temperature and RPMs, then checking to make sure intercooler trips as well as the water injection (if applicable), this is what I watch because while rpm and boost pressure are important, you need the heat and drive pressure to get the power going.

It's probably at least 2,000 horse power. I don't know exact power, these Pro Stock tractors can run 1 turbo as big as they want and I believe up to 680 cubic inch. They have to run on diesel too. They really come to live when you see them in person. They're actually getting pretty loud now off the line compared to even 10 years ago. They've come quite a ways. They weight 10,000 pounds, so they're the heaviest of the professional/national tractor classes.

It's Craig Ladwig's Never Giving Up. It's got one really big turbo. The class rule is can run only one turbo but can be of any size in the Pro Stock Class and that they must run diesel. If you want to see a 4 turbo tractor watch the video I posted labeled Case IH Tractor Pulling "Extremely Armed & Dangerous"Terry Blackbourn, Mike Chizek, Waupun WI 7-7-12

BigEsGarage, yeah it's always a challenge on how to do videos like this and arranging the scenes and keeping it exciting enough. For me I not going to overlay music to the tractor actually pulling. It's all a matter of opinion, no real right or wrong answer, for me I like to in my videos let the real sounds be truly heard and featured so you get a real sense of what's going on. Also the sounds of like for this video the tractor pulling to me enhance the visual you're seeing.
