What difference between "Obsidian Pressed to Metal" and "PFM" bridges?

Hi Temuil, Obsidian pressed to metal is Glidewell's PFM offering that uses Obsidian Lithium Silicate for the ceramic overlay instead of feldspathic porcelain. Obsidian is much kinder to opposing dentition while being 4 times stronger than feldspathic porcelain that's traditionally used for PFMs. Because of these tremendous benefits, all PFMs prescribed with Glidewell are Obsidian pressed to metal.

She is using the Universal System, which denotes the upper right third molar as number 1, moving to quadrant 2, then quadrant 3 , then quadrant 4. The third molar on the bottom right is number 32. This system is commonly used in the United States while in Canada, the FDI system is more commonly used.

Note that "thirty one" is NOT the same as "three-one". One would say "three-one" to denote the lower left central incisor, while "thirty one" would refer to the lower right second molar.
