Definitely the supervisors fault. He's responsible for his workers safety. Seems he didn't really care about the plant washer or his concerns about a strong smell. Gave him a "paper mask" which does nothing for odors/gases and failed to investigate the smell any further. Guy lost his life because a crappy supervisor that didn't care enough.

I find it hard to believe there's no description to this video. Why aren't there more people and safety products closer to machines.

This accident occurred in Singapore not Texas. The Workplace Safety and Health Council is in Singapore. Get your facts straight.

Working instruction is not rigid and good good enough to work safely, especially with hydrogen. HAZOP Study should be reviewed by expert before next product batch.

These guys missed the first step in safety everybody who worked around that substance and in that mixing area should know what those substances are should know what off gases they produce should know how risky this stuff is they're dealing with.

Why is a reactor needed for food flavoring...
@GoTownMedia Жыл бұрын
I believe it was a nitrite tank
@angiki99884 ай бұрын
In general terms, a reactor is a place where reactions happen, whether nuclear or chemical.

you mean to tell me this machine made flavors... meaning food of some kind... with toxic materials? the fuck are they doing?
@tukhanh28122 жыл бұрын
The process of making food chemicals can contain some toxic reactants, that doesn't mean that the final food product contains the toxic material. Like the famous example, Sodium + Chlorine = Sodium Chloride. Sodium & Chlorine are both deadly, but Sodium Chloride, the desire product, is just table salt.

And the real cause of death? Fail to react quickly and standing around in a low emotional state.
@danielblank9917 Жыл бұрын
tf is a "low emotional state"
@davidburkholder7360 Жыл бұрын
@@danielblank9917 Works like this from bottom to top 1. Apathy, 2. Grief, 3. Fear, 4. Anger, 5. Antagonism, 6. Boredom, 7. Conservative, 8.Cheerfulness, 9. Enthusiasm. So, a low emotional state would be you working around someone that is in constant apathy for example with an attitude that there is "nothing I can do about it." Try and work around truly high emotional state people or don't. It's your life anyway, do what u want. Good luck.

Thats a very thought provoking idea my friend. Thank you for the scale, will keep this in the back of my mind from now on. Have always had a pull twords people that have the higher emotional state. The people who like to get stuff done. Now that I realise 👍
