CASE STUDY - Weaver Meadows Playground, Cheshire

The Weaver Meadows housing development in Winsford recently unveiled its new playground, designed to enhance recreational facilities for its growing community. The project aimed to create a safe, engaging, and well-maintained play area for the neighbourhood's children while contributing to the overall aesthetic of the space.
The Setting
Weaver Meadows is a new residential development located in Winsford, a town in Cheshire, England. The development is part of an expanding suburban area characterised by its blend of modern housing and green spaces. The playground is situated within the heart of this new neighbourhood, designed to serve the families who are moving into this area.
The Solution
AMV Playgrounds was commissioned to provide essential elements for this playground, including durable steel goals with basketball nets, seating, and litter bins.
AMV supplied hard-wearing steel goals with basketball nets designed for the MUGA. These goals are hot dip galvanised to protect against rust & corrosion, with a polyester powder coated finish, providing a clean, bright weather-proof appearance.
The rebound panels of the goals are designed to reduce noise from ball impacts, making the playground more pleasant for everyone. Additionally, the inclusion of target panels allows children to practice their shooting skills, enhancing their overall experience.
The seating provided features high-quality hardwood timber combined with a powder-coated finish in a brown corten colour. This choice of materials not only ensures comfort and longevity but also complements the natural aesthetic of the playground.

The Greengate litter bins supplied are timber-clad, maintaining the natural look of the playground. They include side openings that facilitate easy access to the inner bin liners, simplifying waste removal and contributing to the cleanliness of the playground.
