@@annepascoe3029 the point I was making is that everything is political these days, it’s nice to have just straight facts instead of being lectured to like how people are lectured to constantly in things like sports / entertainment etc - things that we consume to get away from all that bullshit. If I had to bet I’d bet that Casey and all the female writers lean left politically but that doesn’t matter because the content is neutral and fact based. I was referencing a podcast I listened to ..I think the killers name was Robert Reed(?) .. the story of a man that had sexually abused a young mentally disabled girl previously and was now charged and convicted with the horrific rape and murder of a young woman. And as the podcast goes on the podcasters narrative is that this guy is not guilty because they believe he was her ‘secret boyfriend’ ( thus explaining why his DNA was inside every orifice in her dead body ) he was so obviously slam dunk guilty ..it was a disgusting narrative and they were only saying that he was innocent because he was a person of color and the victims husband was a white cop. It was shameful and yeah really woke. Also - I’m new to social media so I don’t who this trump is that you speak of.

It's dumb but as was proven, it was very carefully planned. It's terrifying that these people were out there in the world. Jenelle seems to have had one of those personalities that are very obsessive and as the results show in this case, that led to the deaths of two innocent people and their families to be shattered.

Jenelle did all of this because the man she fell in love with didn't return her affections and went with another woman who he truly loved (Billie Jean). It is mind blowing that all of this happened because of a scorned woman. However, Jenelle loved another man and this wouldn't have happened had she eloped with her lover and got away from her overbearing parents. I believe that Jenelle made up all of this harassment. I highly doubt that Billie Jean and Bill added anything more than what they initially did with figuring out who was behind the comments and threats that Jenelle had sent. Jenelle could have ended this long before her parents decided to go on what I can only assume is some kind of honour killing.

I live in SE Texas near where the young couple (Maddox) were gunned down on the steps of a country church by his ex & her father (Westphal) as they were leaving a supervised visit of his little girl. Also the ex!s mother & brother were involved. I was gone from the area when it happened i heard people discussing the case. They had been fighting on fb about child custody in the months before the murder. I seemed to be the only person that thought perhaps it wouldn't have turned to murder if they weren't already fired up by fussing & fighting on social media, for all the world to see. Plus the Westphals had drug issues....

An AK-47 is a semi-automatic rifle. It doesn't need its own classification and it doesn't need to be singled out and pointed at like it's some extra dangerous weapon. It's not gonna jump out of the gun safe or out from under the bed and start shooting on its own.

However, we do have gun owners who have to be licenced (but they can't carry, even if they go to the grocery store). Doesn't the American government ban its civilians from getting such powerful guns?

@@TiffWaffles What do you mean by powerful? The AK is a moderately "powerful" rifle, but velocity is only a fraction of what you need to consider wirh a gun. Citizens are essentially banned from using automatics (or is very hard/impossible for a civilian to get a license to own an automatic) as an fyi. We have semiautomatic versions of most military autos. 5.56 is essentially glorified .22lr, the bullet tip is very very similar.

This is a case of Folie`a Deux. A shared psychosis that tragically ended the lives of two innocent people and forever changed the three families with the community they lived. Hopefully, those involved will live out lengthy prison terms. Janelle's IQ of 72 should be a consideration in determining her punishment. In parole, it needs to meet her unique challenges and ensure public safety to an approved but restrictive mental health halfway facility.
