That would be a neat arc! Deputy District Chief Boden has to deal with the new challenges of his position. He no longer has a "house family", and the higher up you go, the more the job becomes about politics- and if anyone hates playing politics, it's Wallace Boden. Battalion Chief Casey has to deal with the challenges of being the boss too. It's different being in charge of the whole house, and driving to the scene in his buggy rather than riding Truck 81. 51 is still family, and no matter what anyone says, it's different when you're responsible for them. Not sure if Captain Severide would stay with Squad or go back to OFI, but I'd love to see how Lieutenant Cruz would perform, and definitely give Capp and Tony bigger roles.

They have pros and cons, Mullins would be better chief to a problem house, and yes, strict by the book chiefs have their value. We see the crew at 51 going above and beyond and improvising things that work better than ther rule book, but you have to imagine there are complacent houses, with firefighters who cant be botherered, and there are cowboy houses with firefighters that disrespect the rules for fun. I do not say that there are many such houses, but within organisation as big as CFD such houses likely pop up from time to time.
