Casey gives the best talks. I see why people fly him all over the world... just to talk. And I'm mad I didn't incorporate Billy into the spoof vlog I made on my channel in Casey Style. I do love how he helps his wife by promoting her brand. Two thumbs up for Casey!

One serious take away that, if you don't receive it you must manufacture yourself, is praise and encouragement. Casey washed dishes well and got a promotion, Casey made a video and people saw it and encouraged him to do more. Its unlikely you will get this. When you don't get the support you need-manufacture it for yourself.

My son and I watched Casey almost die making bad choices climbing in South America tonight - and I know people who died climbing - and it’s amazing to me to see a 13 year old more interested in hearing peoples stories on KZbin than all the 20, 30, 40 year olds taking selfies on IG rather than connecting. Casey is inspiring the next generation of story tellers. I’ve emptied bottles and slept under boats and made a lifetime of mistakes to get to the great life I have now and I feel Casey knows that feeling. That is hustle. Thanks for sharing.

Hustle Con PS ... tonight I watched this again, this time with my son, and I said “what did you learn today?” ... that is what life is all about. I attended a Galla at the British Embassy in DC last year and in the back garden behind the residence I had my own “arrested development” moment and thought to myself about those times in my life ... “imagine”. Thanks again. 🙏

Good testimonial from the one and only Casey Neistat that's now a self-made multi-millionaire on more information about his science of achievement, and his art of fulfillment. Not someone who inherited millions from his parents or won the lottery. I see he even believes hard work beats talent, when talent doesn't work hard.

too many "or's" in that opening statement. IF you do all of those things, it would merely be stated by commas in writing which would mean a succession of words stating things you are apart of, this, this, this, this, that, those, these, that and sometimes this.

To be fair Casey, most 16 year olds are full of energy and hustle at their jobs. I was a paperboy, same thing, delivered 60 papers in the pouring rain or blizzard after going to school for 10 hours. When you are young, you can do anything and bounce back. My ancestors from the Bronx worked 20/7 building the Empire State building, the Lincoln tunnel and the GWB, and they had their beer a good some as well. Casey has great artistic abilities but what he is more of is a 'marketer' and 'brander'. 'Haggard old dead broke guy in his 50's' ? wow, that is not pleasant. 50's is old?? Beme was basically an off shoot to snapchat wasn't it? and BEME rhymes with MEME. So I congratulate him on his success, but I'm inclined to believe that is art and marketing he is good at. And there are fathers working 14 hour days in the city with 3 children. I'm not criticizing, Francine is adorable, I love videos with her in them. I think the audience is a 20 something naive group. one child is not difficult at all, he has a wife and a nanny. What Casey has is the will to win, the POTUS had the same. When your driven, friends do not matter.
@andrewbatson97107 жыл бұрын
Think you missed it, all of it. When he talks about struggling to raise his kid, he is not talking about Francine. He is talking about his son, who was born when Casey was 17. When he talks about working at 16, it is not about energy level. He is explains that for the first time in his life he had a reason to break his ass and work hard, for his son, for his family. He was not making fun of the guy he talks about in his 50s, he is just explaining that that guy was the least likely candidate to receive success in the genre of music and era he was living in, but through his determination he still ultimately achieved his dream because he did not give up. I think Casey is the best mentor for naive 20 year olds. Most successful people glaze over their success when they talk about it like "I did these few key things and look how successful I am, you can do it too". Casey explains that there were a few key things that lead to his success, yes, but most of it was determination and the happenstance of luck that spotlighted his "hustle" and gave him the break he needed to launch his success. And he emphasizes that most of his journey to where he is today was a constant battle.
@TimTheMusicMan7 жыл бұрын
Not at all. Casey also has great communication skills, he captivates his audience. He deserves so much credit for taking the child at 16, but I am sure he had help at home, you have to, if your working and going to the city daily. Yes, the '50' was a context issue, but nonetheless, 50 is generally still fairly young. There are 75 year old rockers still traveling and playing. I mean Bon Jovi and Springsteen are in their 50's and mid 60's. Determination is still trying at 70, not 50, understand now? Everyone goes through a battle, not just Casey, he just paints a very good picture, he has Charisma, other than Casey, I would not watch any video like this from someone else, even the v loggers recommended in his videos are really not that talented, I believe its a naive millennial issue, he draws one in, but more likely its the naive teen and 20 something that is captivated. He is a good marketer and brander. For having no HS education, he is quite the communicator, has a sound college level or higher speaking level, there is definitely intelligence and creativity in his family, it came from somewhere..
@CoachPiuze7 жыл бұрын
You are right and He is using Survivor Bias as called in philosophy . Gary is better at explaining that there is a chance and circonstance factor but you had to work with it, that going to somewhere must be enjoyable, not only the outcome. We have to know ourselves, find a niche etc... but like Gary said any number 10 on a big company earn more than any entrepreneur ... but you can chose to live miserably but happy as trying to be an entrepreneur than being a rich employee. That is why some business men are like minimalists or farmers now. The more a niche is taken like the one of Casey...the more you have to work to be different and good until the collapse of that niche (ex: B&W mute film to color with sound- big stars with a shitty voices didn't make it) What I learned in half a century is that expectations make my life a nightmare. I try to learn to expect the best but be ready for the worst and maybe just finding happiness on some part of my days most of the time or at least less sadness. I will not act on social maybe to be happy all the time like most of people on social media until I find they lose a child or the commit suicid outside of them..because people hide their flaws...but the best lessons of life and others are from lost, flaws and fails. And mostly how people that didn't realized their bigger dream find the strength to live and be happy? A lot of let it go and more appreciation of the now. Life is not about losing it to an hypothetic dream dictated by a system.

For me, he's the quintessential "rags to riches" story. In the States, having a kid when you're a teen is about the biggest setback you can have while trying to escape poverty. The fact that he muscled through that while being a child himself, and then went on to this level of success is inspiring. Makes me want to learn how he did it.

I take great offense on Casey's view on ageism. Fifty something is not old and hate to think that the rocker he was talking about ever sees this cause it is hurtful. A big dis. I am 20 years older then Casey and look way better then him.
