@@hello_world_104 yea, you are an example of who is not active on any physical activity yet is keen to judge others on being dramatic. Clearly you lack experience. Try running for hours and then crash the same way like he did. Your breathing rhythm stops, your chest will pump abnormally for the sudden pause of jogging, your lungs will try and catch a breath, and your legs will start to sore from that sudden pause, and due to that same sudden pause, your brain will experience temporary fatigue. All of that in a matter of a second. I can provide a detailed info cause it happened to me, and that was only a 15k marathon run lol imagine that happening on this scale. Mental.
@detora56Ай бұрын
@@RaitoSoraTV Completely second this...the most important factor, MOMENTUM, is completely interrupted which essentially causes a domino effect. It does not even have to be such a big scale of a marathon, even when im taking a small hike and suddenly stop to sit or rest, I dont even want to get up to finish anymore. I knew there would be comments about that part once I saw that part in the video but very understandable if some poeple have not been as physical before; we're here to help each other gain a little more understanding each day. Now, I’m motivated to start working towards running a full marathon, and I’m going to begin by working towards it today. Thanks, Casey. Casey! After your video of the Tucson marathon you inspired me to sign up for a marathon and when I did everyone told me how crazy I was, or that I would get hurt, or that there was no way I would be able to finish. But I didn’t want to back down and they didn’t let you get a refund for the race. I started doing the hard things, getting up early, running when it was cold, battling through soreness. In August of this year I ran the marathon! One thing that made the marathon even harder is that one of the signs to tell runners where to turn had blown over, I ended up running an extra 4 miles in the wrong direction before I realized that I was the only runner in sight. Eventually I ran back to where I got off course and continued going. I ended up running a total of 30.6 miles. At mile 26 my body was done and I called my wife and explained what had happened and told her I needed her to come pick me up! But my wife told me that even if I ran the extra miles I needed to cross the finish line to complete my goal! Casey those extra 4 miles were the hardest things Ive ever done in my life but they were so worth it! Thank you for inspiring me to do hard things and to push myself even when everyone told me I couldn’t finish! You’re the man Casey!

Seeing Candace so genuinely happy for you made me feel something, I dont think i’ve ever felt before. That was incredible. I think that was the reason you do hard things. I know people say you should do hard things for yourself and not others but seeing the happiness she had for you was different

Not only did he FINALLY break 3:00:00 he did it going back for Roberto!! I'm proud of you brother! I felt something in this story just as I did the last few NYCM videos! I teared up each time. So proud!

I love this video. This shows how simple a video can be and still portray and pass on the very important message (though I don't know why he doesn't capitalize the i). That message is to DO HARD THINGS... There is another hidden message within this video. NEVER GIVE UP... Everyday give it all you have and if you fail get right back up and keep moving. Thank you, Casey.

omg omg @ mile 24 I thought all these people I didn't know were somehow cheering "Gracie, Gracie" but of course I realized after the fact (with the help of Marathon Foto) that they were actually cheering "Casey! Casey!" bc you were right next to me.😆 But I made the vlog @ 9:44 so all is well 😀

Ran my first marathon in Richmond the other day and being able to watch this the night before the race was so encouraging. Congrats Casey and thank you for always being an inspiration for runners!

I’m watching this video at 2:20 a.m. I went to bed at 11, tried to fall back asleep but couldn’t. I’ll go to the gym at 5:30, have breakfast, then go back to sleep to get a full 8 hours.

Casey....wow you are such an mirror inspiration for us the ones that follow you... this time you had to do it alone. to Prove to yourself you had it in you all this time...loved Candace's reaction at the finish line....brought tears of joy, she also believed in you. Awesome.

Blows my mind people are allowed to cross from one side of the street to another like that during such a high profile marathon.

Don’t believe everything you see. It’s good to be skeptical these days. Casey’s videos have always been dramatic, something tells me this might have been a set up. Normal stuff is boring.

Caseeeeey, miss you man! You're the top storyteller on wheels. Perfectly told in image and text like you never stopped. And one thing you didn't mention but super important: based on your calculations, one thing that stopped you from finishing in 3 hours or less was the energy spent at waving to the public during the race. So you made the decision to refrain from waving as much as possible and ... it worked!! Also kudos to everyone who filmed our Casey because they knew he would want to compile the videos and make one of his greatest pieces which he did. Well done Sir!
