One thing I really appreciate about Jackie is that she really understands the value of money. I’ve seen a lot of you tubers be like “it’s just 20 dollars!” without realizing how much that really is when you’re broke. I appreciate that Jackie not only shows us what the best kits are for our money, but with her crafts she often shows her getting stuff from the dollar store to save money. As someone who loves doing art and crafts but is also a student it’s really helpful. Thank you for keeping it real.

Totes agree. I always get annoyed when youtubers say it's just 20 dollars if it's not something thats like on sale or something. It shows how out of touch they are with people who aren't making a lot of money. people work hard and don't always have alot of spending cash leftover after bills and stuff.. so I really appreciate jackie shows ways for us to save money as well for certain things she uses for her crafts.

I used to appreciate it, but I never had the sensitivity to flashing lights and sudden cuts until lockdown and everything going online, and it really damaged my eyes, and I appreciate it 1000 times more now, because there are a lot of videos I can't really watch anymore because of the sudden constant cuts and random flashing, and still being able to watch her stuff really brings me joy. Edit: I know the warnings are more for epilepsy, just wanted to add that, but I appreciate these warnings so muchh

Yes I think that’s a neat idea. Even if she had to use items not from the dollar store (everyone has different selections at their dollar store) but products that are good value in terms of quality, price, and multi-purpose (able to be used for multiple activities). She could do Amazon affiliate links for everything. Then if folks can’t source it by them, they could order and she’d get a little kick-back. The lists are also handy reference to the particular product (size, brand, variation) that she’s referring to. Check out Black Magic Craft’s website for an example. :)

Her comment reply update as of 1 day ago: nerdesister_sika considering my health was so bad, no! 😩 i didn't eat for 3 days 😭 my crohn's is out of remission, it started to affect other parts of my body. I was eating but I wasn't absorbing, my body got weak and my heart rate was very high while I was resting. My liver and gallbladder went a little crazy as well, since they weren't very healthy organs to begin with 😬 Note: I don't think it matters, but I removed the name she was replying to. I have something similar to Crohn's due to having my gallbladder removed. (Rare case) and it isn't even as bad, but it is so painful. I can't imagine how badly that hurt.

For slimygloop brand kits, in my experience, use less than half of the borax/water it says to and then mix the slime till it is still pretty under activated and let it sit for a few minutes. Then play with it for a bit till it comes together. Use small drops of borax water at a time if it's still a bit sticky. Idk why I keep buying those kits. Lmao.

I would definitely be more cautious about the dyes that they put in those kits. For a start is it going to stain either your skin or your clothing/bedsheets/towels etc. You guys only put a few drops in but I can see little kids giving those bottles a big squeeze to get bright vivid colours (plus when you really get down to it the squeezing one bottle contents into another bottle is the sole activity in this kit so what else have they got to do?) More importantly, I would want to know whether it is skin safe generally and also as someone with a skin condition I would want to know whether the dyes and fragrances are suitable for even sensitive skin. Fragrance is often one of the things that those with sensitive skin find an irritant which is why a lot of sensitive skin products are fragrance free. Colourants are another thing that can irritate skin even if your skin isn't sensitive. Does it say anywhere on the box/in the info booklets whether these things are skin safe? They don't seem to care about the glitter being actual body glitter so it would be interesting to see whether they thought about the other ingredients being skin safe.

Walmart worker here as far as the heavily clearanced kit goes, we got those in summer of last year reading the tag they did the markdown in November. It doesn’t actually mean kits are bad or good when they’re markdown that low. It means home office like always sent waaaaay to many kits then what could be sold and it was taking up too much space in the back room. So the best way to get rid of things is mark it down and get rid of it. And also the $9 is the original price.

Its relaxing like if your mad, sad, or stressed you'll play with slime and you'll feel a bit better, sometimes it really helps me. Plus slime can actually be brought into class if you dont distract people and dont get it on the carpet or thats how it is at my school. If it helps you that is dont bring smile to school if it dosent help you and distracts you
