Lots of people use fake money. 1- they could live in a Dangerous location so to not have money in their house. 2- some banks no longer give out money in their locations only through ATMs 3- it allows money to continue to collect the interest instead of sitting in envelopes. I use fake money most often because my bank does not hand out denominations.

fake money works a treat for cash stuffing too! i don't feel comfortable keeping cash in my house so i use prop money that is tear proof and looks as real as i could buy

When people ask if you use fake money it's because a lot of other people who use budget binders will add up to $100 in one of their envelopes and so then they put that in the bank and use a fake $100 bill instead. Also, congrats on the 5k!!!! I think that you have $117.35 in change.
