He reminds me so much of my Big Boy Bandit. He was a 55 pound Standard. He acted just like that when he got the zoomies. I miss him so much.

My son's min. schnauzer had to be walked a great deal each day or major acting out became present. He ended up purchasing a treadmill for the dog. He had me dog sit for over 2 weeks while he went across the country. On his way back I was calling him every few hours to find out when he would be back....I was exhausted (I didn't have the treadmill!!!). What a beautiful bundle of energy. Yes...dogs need the exercise...they are happier for it (and you will too 😁😁).

He's playfully "mouthing". Our Standard does the same thing. They love to play like this and go crazy zooming all over the living room, even when he's had a super busy day or no one else plays along. It's a schnauzer thing.

My mini schnauzer pretends to bite but she NEVER applies any pressure it’s all wonderful rough play. Cash is a great example of the schnauzers wonderful spirit.🥰

I had a miniature Snauzer many years ago. I would throw his hair brush across the room and he would run and get it and bring it back to me. Th at ran off some of his energy. This was in the days before everyone had an air conditioner. I would take him to the creek below my mom's house. So more exercise. I'd swim and he would. He was named Snauzer. There were so many named that till he had t Roman numerals after his name. I don't remember the numbers now. He had papers. I got him when he was a puppy. They had docked his tail but I never got his ears docked. I wasn't going to show him in dog shows. He was a pet. He was silver. He was the most loving dog. He liked all people. I only seen him ever try to attack one person. He was sick and had just been to the vet and had a shot & got prescribed a antibiotic. Some one my husband knew came up to the truck. SNAUZER jumped off my lap and ran over to my husband's lap and tried to get thru the window and attack him. I don't know why unless he could smell the man's hound dog smell on him. In later years a hound dog came to my parents house. It was 3 times the size of him. He attacked it and got a bloody nose. It came back another day and he attacked it again. This was his territory. My dad didn't have pure breed beagle puppies anymore. Haha they were half Snauzer.

LOVE! That's a smart schnauzer! "Dad, let's run... stop petting me... get up...let's go... why are you still sitting... 6 laps, let's go! " Cash is so all personality and beautiful! We loved this evening cue and my husband and I would get on opposite sides of the house and call her back and forth.... as she ran like crazy dog until she was pooped. 3 laps and she was done. Looks like your stairs has carpet vs the slippery floor. If one of you goes to the top and other bottom and keep sending him back to the other, he will be done at about 3 up and downs. I bet. If you had a second dog, he would be doing this with them. We like only one schnauzer so my husband and I had to do it once a night with her. She was just like Cash with all his cues. My SS is almost 9 months old now and 43 pounds of goofy... He has a lot of the same traits and loves to watch and bark at Cash's videos! We're glad Cash is feeling better!

My Schnauzer was a Miniature. We walked one hour in the morning, one hour in the evening and 20 minute walks in between. I DO work outside the house, (and inside, when I come back from work). Your dog cannot "calm down" because he needs EXERCISE.

That is so funny sh was barking at his bark!😂. SS have the best personalities. They can play rough at times. I think they don’t realize that they are big and strong. He loves to jump from couch to couch all the time. (Laminate floors are to slippery).

Carla, keep those videos coming. I have a male black standard schnauzer, Cooper, and he is a handful right now. Wants to chew everything. He gets lots of exercise but does not have an off switch. He’s always on the go. Thank God for the crate and big backyard. He just turned 10 months and is 39 lbs. Did you have Cash fixed and if so at what age? Did you notice any difference in behavior or activity level? Thanks Craig

Hello Craig. Thanks for reaching out to me. Yes, Cash was fixed when he was pretty young, under a year. I keep thinking 5-6 months but I’m not positive. No I didn’t really see a huge difference. Man he had a TON of energy and was crazy at times. That first year was a struggle. I noticed huge improvements after a year and by the time he was a year and a half he seemed to be way different. Still lots of energy. I am lucky that he never really chewed stuff, he was a digger. He has always played rough. Also someone was home with him most of the time so we didn’t have a crate past a year. Cooper will get better and be the best dog soon. Hang in there and take lots of walks. My son runs Cash and that really helps. Thanks you 😀
