Girl, I feel your pain about having to make different decisions about your money than you had originally planned. For my cash stuffing yesterday, I was short $5 on one of my low priority sinking funds and you would have thought I over drew my checking account with how upset I let myself get. After about 15 mins of stewing in my own juices I finally said, I'll add $10 next time! GET A GRIP! LOL I love your videos so much and when I saw that you had posted I squealed and said "YAY Emily!" You crack me up! Math is so hard for you. You always have to make change for the bill you have and then take out when you owe, rather than just making change for yourself = the amount you have minus the amount you owe back to the bank = what you need to put back/change back into the envelope. lmao Even if you cant do the math yourself, you have a calculator right there. And there is no reason to keep the piles separate, except to frustrate yourself with not having the right bills for change, as in the end you know exactly the amount that needs to go back into the two funds you took them from for change, and the rest is simply back to bank.
