It can be tricky to case-in a textblock in your case-bound or hardbound handmade book. If you glue your textblock to your cover incorrectly the covers won't open all the way as they should. This brief video shows you the details of gluing your textblock to your cover so the book opens correctly.

Here is a great source for the bookboard, or binder's board, used to create the cover. You can get it in several different thicknesses.
