Great reaction video. Joe Pesci had such an impact in this film and Good Fellas that it became impossible for me to see him as the goofball in Home Alone 1 and 2. I could just picture him as a ruthless gangster taking horrible revenge on McCauley Caulkin.

I heard Sharon Stone's goal in her acting career was to get a shot working next to Bobby D and for her to be able to hold her own with him, which I think was her best performance in a movie by far. Great film.

Fantastic edit, and I've heard this isn't an easy one to edit. Fantastic reaction: you guys are so wrapped up in the movie, you ONLY talk when you are noticing something amazing about the camera ops or a shot, and it's a textbook example of how special and one-of-a--kind your reactions continue to be. 32:35: That shot is a classic Hitchcock homage, I think it's originally from the first version of "The Man Who Knew Too Much" (1934), although he used it in subsequent films. ALSO correction :this was actually not the first movie Scorsese made after "Goodfellas". He made "Cape Fear", then "The Age Of Innocence". "Cape Fear" definitely has crime AND punishment in it! Scorsese and De Niro's biggest hit, a blockbuster of the 90s, big part of "pop culture", "iconic" and all those words.....and yet no reaction for it yet! Just sayin'! :P Dudes, FANTASTIC reaction. The reaction is better than the movie! Which is great! Your (small) gripes with it are totally valid and not uncommon. I learned A LOT from this reaction.

Lenny Marmor (Lester Diamond) was never Ginger's pimp. He was her high school sweetheart and they had a child together. She was also taking care of her sick mother and her sister and her kids after the sister's husband walked out on them. She wasn't a good person but the movie makes her out to be worse than she was. Ace knew she was a party girl but he expected her to be at home every night while he went out and did whatever he wanted, and he cheated on her left right and center.

The curly haired fellow involved in many of the murders at the end of the film was Frank Cullotta, a real life Chicago Outfit gangster who was indeed involved in many events depicted.

There are no Good Guys in this movie. Ace made two huge mistakes that brought the whole edifice crashing down. 1. Ginger warned him. She outright TOLD Ace not to marry her. 2. He refused to bring the cowboy's brother-in-law back on staff, when it would have been so easy to give him a token post where his idiocy couldn't impact the bottom line. Everything else flowed from these two mistakes. Nicky was just an outrider; Ace could have just let him self-destruct. The Bosses probably would have whacked him even earlier.

For Scorsese I'd have to go with Gangs of New York. Daniel Day-Lewis as Bill the Butcher is one of the best written and acted characters of the last 20 years, IMO . One of my all time favorites. I think you'd enjoy it. Liam Neeson as priest Vallon. John C. Reilly as a corrupt cop and Jim Broadbent as Tammany. With Brendan Gleeson as Monk. Really was an all-star and somewhat unusual cast.

loved the reaction! i prefer casino over goodfellas since its about chicago guys. my uncle has actually met both tony spilotro and joe pesci in real life. small world!. for a good cop movie i highly reccomend Bad Lieutenant, starring Harvey Keitel! one of my favorite movies from my favorite director Abel Ferrara. the NC-17 version if you decide to react to it.

Guys if you’re doing more crime/mafia movies, would love to see Once Upon a Time in America. It features De Niro, Woods and a small role for Pesci. For another Scorsese Mean Streets would be fun. Nice one.

Mean Streets would be great since it was his breakout film (and De Niro's) and it's the most "indie" of his movies (other than "After Hours"). Personally, I'm not a big fan of "Once Upon A Time In America", and it's even longer than Casino! One version is four hours, one version is six. But I'd love to see them do "Mean Street" as well as "Cape Fear, "After Hours" and "The King Of Comedy".

Little surprised by the relatively low rating. Like someone below, I think I prefer Casino over Goodfellas. For more crime-y James Woods, react to The Onion Field. Woods is as sleazy in it as he is in Casino. If I recall correctly, his character in The Onion Field is also smart. And, again, Once Upon a Time in America (featuring DeNiro, Woods and Pesci, in a small role).

The 4hr10m Extended Directors Cut is the best version of Once Upon a Time in America even if it has bad color timing in one scene. Shame we never really got to see the final cut Leone intended even if it was 6hrs or a miniseries

Surprised here too by the ratings. Yes, there's lots of exposition, but that's because the movie takes you into a closed, secret world and shows you how it operates on every level. The narration, like the writing in general, is top tier. Probably the fastest 3-hour movie ever made. Busy busy busy...
