Quitting while ahead only works if when you quit, you never play again. If you come back the next day, or even the next year, you aren’t quitting. The dice don’t know how long you play or how much you may have won or lost. The odds are always the same. Everything else you say is true and accurate. No betting strategy can even make a dent in the house advantage. Craps is a tough game to deal. Many dealers make mistakes. I had a dealer pay me even on laying odds on don’t bets on all the numbers for a half hour before he caught himself.

@sinatrafan1987 If you have a place bet on the 6, you can pull it down any time you wish. Usually place bets are off during the come out roll anyway, but if you make a pass and the new point is your 6, you can take the place bet off. The "contract" bets (pass/don't pass) are the ones that cannot be moved/altered when the puck is in the 'On' position.

So here is my question...Simple I think If the button is on say...the 8, and u have bet the 6. IF the six comes out..can u ask for that bet back?? As payment can you take your initial bet OFF the table? I hear u can, but that sort of thing seems odd to me. Usually, I stick around until a 7 comes out (sucks). Is requesting your bet back allowed?

rico8458 said the best system, the best system is get off the table when your up. i took off $355 last time in bally's in vegas. i usually bet the 6 and 8 and the pass line. if i'm up a little i'll throw a few bucks on the 4 and 9 and once in a while throw a $5 on the hard way. if i get a good run and know that the 7 is going to hit probably sooner than later then i'll take the bets i can off the table, leave the 6 and 8 bets on.

@Rico8458 That isn't a system, and frankly people who say that are ignorant. The problem with "walking away" is that you can't walk away forever unless you literally plan to play one game, win, and then never gamble again, ever. "Walking away" is actually delaying the inevitable, because most likely, even if you walk away from a table, you'll be at another table later in the day -- possibly within the hour. If you can actually walk away for good, you are better off not gambling at all.

Jim is 110% right. Never played craps in the casino but have played thousands of hours simulated, trying every possible combination imaginable and I can say without any shadow of a doubt that you absolutely cannot beat craps in the end. If you want to keep your money stay very far away from craps (or any casino game for that matter unless you are an ace card counter at blackjack or an ace poker player).

As far as the game of Casino craps goes. Trick question who in their right mind actually expects to be a consistent winner in the long run. If they are in fact going up against the house mainly banking off of luck or getting consistently lucky. Yet the house itself is banking off of pure mathematics or having practically everything already mathematically calculated out in their favor. And not luck at all? It seriously appears that the only chance that one would have at this is to simply overstand the game itself from every possible angle or atleast that you can. And then seek to use this overstanding or wealth of knowledge to ones advantage. While seeking to actually beat the house at their own game. Which is not banking mainly off luck at all. Since you already know this is in fact the proven losing strategy that the house or your enemy. Actually wants you to employ

the craps dealers in a casino have by far the hardest job of anyone working in a casino, i have worked craps for a casinotainment company for 4 years its not real money so whats there to argue about really but in a casino, my hats off to those guys and gals

Not to discredit you in any way, but if you flip a coin in the air 10,000 times I would bet that the results would not be 5000 each. I don't care what the "probabilities" are or the math. In reality it will not be an even split. As far as playing craps, it's all luck. None of us players are playing "in the long run" we are always in the short run. Therefore it doesn't matter what you bet on at all. Sure placing the 6 is better than playing the BIG 6 because of the obvious payout difference, but you can get lucky and win playing on just the BIG 6 all day. Great videos...
