Beautiful house. How could one forget the whimsical door pulls on the built ins, the turtles and lizards and butterflies. Nice big rooms but I wonder why they didn’t build it with a basement. Beautiful staircase, beautiful molding and even beautiful front door. Hope they saved more of it. Such a tastefully done house and seemed really new. Don’t think I’ll ever understand why so much beauty is destroyed. Thanks for sharing Ethan. Take care be well and stay safe!

Maybe the lot was too damp for a basement. When I was a kid, our lot barely perked so we couldn't have a basement and had to fill a lot.

I've been going down the rabbit hole of abandoned mansions, and I've settled in here with you for about 15 videos already. You do a great job of presenting the discovery of places I would never get to go. Appreciation for architectural art comes through really well. Interesting back stories give a great perspective as well. Cheers!!

PLEASE, CAN someone tell me WHY one would tear down such a new and lovely home just to build ANOTHER one? Pretty soon, we’ll all be living in those Soviet-era apartment blocks which were made in a factory and then sealed into place with concrete. What is wrong with society today? Sorry for my rant. This is just capping off a not-great day. The arrested mafia guy had a much bigger garage, if I recall correctly. Those wonderful brass figures of cupboard pulls should absolutely be saved. And those gorgeous dark wood cabinets? C’mon, man! Those partially-carpeted stairs are beautiful, and so is the chandelier. An attic instead of a basement is different. I think the downstairs was short on bathrooms, too. The picture quality is great, and I appreciate your values and integrity, Ethan.

They tear down and build new because that's what most Baby Boomers want. They want a brand new home to retire in. They don't want someone else's existing home.
@janeceeastwood803511 ай бұрын
@@gregorylyon1004 That’s not true. Don’t lay it at the feet of boomers. I’m a boomer, and the waste from these houses being torn down makes me sick. It’s the builders who refuse to renovate rather than; demolish. I’ve never lived in a house like these, and I wouldn’t want to.

hey ethan!! i dont know what gift you have that you can sniff out the best untouched houses. now since enough time has passed and from what you said the tear down was happening when you were there. please give me what info you know about the epic untouched mid century home with the real expensive british sedan in the garage. the house should be long gone and whatever shitbox rectangular thing that some asshole is going to call a architectural marvel. the house they you saw which was destroyed was the real marvel. im a architecture fanaatic and keep a vast log of the most significant, unique and just outstanding houses. i dont think its an issue to release an address but im a decent researcher. i blasted a set of explorers who made a big point about keeping the location of a killer house secret but rhey zoomed in on something that i needed to tie my info together. i commented and asked them to just blur it or edit and never heard back. thats when i went postal and messaged some other known channels who went there thinking they could help, no radio silence so i put em on blast. since then the house has gotten way worse which id choke somebody 100% and deal with my punishment. very very shitty. now you are you of good ones, always leaving no trace and treading lightly. the house with the car thats isnt for driving but being drivin in. you said if someone sees this and telling them to contact you before any issues so i know youre stand up guy.not the case with the flintstone 60's mansion with the curvilinear architecture. bigbankz put some info on his video because he was 1st to video it. i had done some searching for weeks but when i saw what the one channel filmed it took all of 25 seconds to get the area then searched background and business info. thats one of the neatest houses ive seen.i just write all this so you clearly see im not going to a location. im only trying to get somebackground on the architect and some of the design features.it reminds me of something id see on sheridan dr highland park il or on marine dr in w vanc..any help id really appreciate if you could at least msg me and see you we can agree to. i want you to watch something if youve never seen it. this is truly an unreal place. ive searched for years and cant figure out where it is at but youve got to see this place. coolest abandoned place ive ever seen. youll be so stoked if you take the 11 or so min. seriously its so cool ive been searching for it for about 5 years. youtube channel -rnk all day --video title is ; exploring insane 1960's millionaire mountain mansion. 6 years ago. it worth the watch. hope i hear from you. cheers
