That was expected...both of my DW290 are about a minute ahead in 2 months....those guys just want to live.... DW5200C 50 seconds ahead in 3 months, just GAB2100 Banana is 30 seconds late in 2 months, which is weird (that's bluetooth but I'm not connecting it)....DW5600 about 30 seconds ahead in 4-5 months. 15-20 G's from 3-30 seconds ahead in a month....Marlin 14 seconds ahead in 6 months, swiss ETA 6 seconds ahead in more than 6 months. good video

Interesting however this does raise the question... Would this accuracy vary on multiple tests with the same watches? It seems plausible that multiple tests with the same watches might produce different results Thank you for the video

Great video, not all quartz are equals in accuracy, best are high frequency like the Casio H103 at 4mHz or the High Precision Bulova at 262 kHz

The frequency has fairly little to do with the accuracy. The Grand Seiko high accuracy movements use a high quality quartz crystal that resonates around the standard 32768 Hz. The chip is programmed in the factory to correct for frequency deviations depending on the temperature. The Bulova is accurate, but not quite as accurate as the Grand Seiko movements, at least my Bulova Precisionist isn't.

One of the reasons I started doing accuracy tests was watching a small Japanese KZbin channel n which there wee , at the beginning, “just” two Grand Seikos and an atomic Citizen “Attesa”. Some of the Grand Seikos, even later, when other high end watches begun to be featured on the channel, had (have!) superb accuracy. Thanks for this comment!

I have an old dw 290 and it's really inaccurate, relatively speaking. It easily gains or looses minutes over a month (even with a new battery). Given that it also has lost the ability to produce an alarm sound, it's really showing age tbf (have had it since 2010 and hammered it)

Oh yeah, I remember this! Should be interesting to see! This is a test on many different level actually. Module vs module and model vs model. Interesting results! The B640 seems to be super accurate. The results of the DW290 is still very good in comparison to an automatic! Now for the Greyman! If they want to cooperate haha! This should be interesting! Take care bro!
