Hey Youtubians, Tony here with another review!! Yes it is another Casio but as we have mentioned in the video we like them, they are a great brand of watch to own and have been worn by many people across the world for the last 30-40 years, so well worth featuring on the channel.
In this video we are taking a look at another World Time watch from Casio and that is the Quartz Powered Casio AE-1000W-1A2VEF. This is in their budget range of watches and can be got from Amazon at around the £20 mark when not on offer.
First of all we take a look at the watch in terms of the design, the materials used and the watch face itself. We then go through some of the features of the watch with a quick go through some of the modes. We take it for a test drive on the wrist to say what it is like to wear and then we will give you our overall thoughts and impressions.

I’ve had two of these, absolutely love it! I travel quite a bit so the world timer is a very much appreciated. The only flaw I find in it is how easy is to press the Search button accidentally when you get your hand in and out of pockets, sometimes even with a slight wrist movement. It toggles the time zones, and although it is an easy fix, sometimes it became annoying to me specially when I had a sales route job that required to be on time at certain places. Otherwise it’s nearly perfect to me. Great review!

The Casio AE series in general is a winner! Granted there are a couple of duds, (looking at you AE1100 & AE3000). That said, if you like the AE1000, just upgrade to the AE2100. It has the exact same layout and functions (maybe even same module), but also has mineral crystal and 200m water resistance.

I would say the ae3000 has a love hate relationship for me. I love its features and display, but wearing it makes me feel awkward because it's too big.

Does your AE1000w ghost when you view at the bottom angle? (tilt up) I changed the battery but still its like this. I compared this with the F91w and AE1100w and those watches don't ghost at this angle. I never compare with another AE1000w. So my question is, is the design like this? Its kinda frustrating to me when i view at this angle.

The AE series is just as God Tier when it comes too it's usefulness, and it's utilities, espically for those of us who travel often, and have family overseas. I've owned one for years now, and it's been a tank, and just flawless, espically with its World Time features, Alarms, Count and StopFinally had time to click on my youtube recommendations, and this video covers it perfectly, and a great reference.

Hi there and I have to agree with you. I enjoy wearing my Apple Watch for the notifications and health monitoring. On the other hand when I am trying to concentrate on something I am doing the notifications can drive me mad especially when they are for useless spammy emails. As you say the Apple Watch is more of a device than a watch and with Casio watches they are, in their simplest form, a watch that efficiently tells the time and does it over years without a battery change. No wrist flicking (other than the auto light watches), no recharging every other day and no notifications. Just a cool looking watch and I love them for that fact. Cheers for the commenting! This watch is very good, however some misinformation that will need amending…if claims it has a 10 year battery life, well I got mine in 2010 and I’m yet to change the battery, Ive used it daily, and gone swimming in the sea on holiday, the straps held out too👍🏼

Hey I was going to comment that I just found mine in the bottom of a drawer all smashed up beneath pounds of old stuff. I cleaned it and it looks like knew. But then my jaw dropped because it is running perfectly, time is just 3 min out of sync. What amazes me is is that drawer has been unattended since I moved to our current house 15 years ago and I don't remember when I bought it before then. How could it be possible that it's running still today????? Even the light is OK.

I do business trips and I only take this watch with bracelet with me. It looks expensive watch, the AE-1200 is classy too. This watch allow me to see the time in the different country where i do business. I do not need any more to check the time on my Smartphone and get distracted by emails and messages. one move and i can see the time at home in the small round watch.... Great watch for 30 euro. On my wrist guarantee it looks expensive 😎 For swimming activity or adventures, I wear the Casio W-S210H also great watch, it help me to find the perfect hour or day to swim or to fish. Great watch for 49 euro. G-Shock is not needed for me as I could found this Casio collection for a 1/5 of the price. G-Shock are too damn bulky. It make me look ready to go for adventure while i'm in a business meeting, so i feel a bit embarrassed.

It is truly a great watch for the 30 euros and I liked the design and functionality that is built in but my only reservation was with the quality of strap and how it felt when the watch was worn on my wrist. I would love it if Casio built into the design a way of being able to change the strap on the more budget end of their range as I do think that they are a great looking line-up of watches and with a better strap they would be simply unbeatable! I will have a look at the W-S210H and see what it is like and if I get hold of one I will feature it on the channel. I do have to say that G-Shock has never really appealed to me but that is because I have never really owned one but you never know, one day I might buy one and change my mind! Not that I am aware of, as it doesn’t have any Bluetooth functionality built into it. Casio do manufacture watches that have this feature built in like the Casio GBD100 and the Casio GBD200 but they are a lot more in terms of monetary value compared to the watch featured here. Cheers, Tony - WTA

"Low rent"? It's only £20, what do you expect? 🤣 The watch I use in my job is a Breitling Emergency, my 2nd but it's saved my life twice! Just ask how much it costs! Except it's for professionals, and I don't expect anyone else going to buy one anytime soon. Otherwise your video was very good, easy to understand and you didn't faff about like so many reviewers. Hi there, unfortunately I do not own the watch anymore so it is hard for me to comment on whether there is an amount of doming on the watch face window.
