Gabriel, you're one of the best keyboard reviewers I met so far (actually you might come close to KeyboardKrazy49), showing off everything on the Japanese key-lighting keyboards (unlike me, I mostly show off the songs because usually they're the most important things to show off whenever I come across the Japanese key-lighting keyboards [except I didn't show off some on the LK-122 that I came across three years ago]), and unlike Terrence Jen, you actually zoom out all the way and not touch anything when showing off the songs, and using a direct line-in too. If you've seen Terrence Jen's videos showing off the songs on the International CTK-520L, many of the songs are destroyed by him pressing a bunch of keys and massively loud horns in the background. One thing I do love about this keyboard is that they actually show every chord in songs [6, m6, 69], and inverted ones [B♭/C, G/C, Gm/C, B/C, E/C] rather than [C7sus4, CM7, C7, Cdim, Caug]. I dislike how the LK keyboards with an LED (like the LK-30) weren't able to do that, hence why I couldn't understand B♭/C six years ago and always ended up using Gm7/C and many times I forget the 6 and m6 chord types (and thanks to the AHL Pro keyboards that I can use a glitch to see the chords in Fingered 3 mode in songs). Many thanks for another awesome video, Gabriel. I'm looking forward to seeing more (if you're able to collect more Japanese key-lighting models, though I highly doubt it, lol). I still wish _Londonderry Air_ was on this version. I would freak out like crazy if I saw all the chords.

Thank you so much! I do it because I feel like it's important that this valuable information shouldn't get lost to time or get hidden away from people who want to learn about it but can't afford it or don't want to get it. I also saw some commenters on KZbin who didn't know how to transpose or tune the keyboard or turn off the key lights. Yeah, from what I can tell, Fred and Terrence Jen are disabled and live in their own world. I used to be like that when I was a lot younger (except not quite at their level) as I have autism. And yes, *absolutely, the chords!* I really hate that some of the chords on the newer models are masqueraded basically with a lie. Did so many people not know how to read a manual that Casio needed to change how the chords are displayed? Also, have you tried the chord injection/translator glitch yet? kzbin.info/www/bejne/gmPUZ5Z8fbF7eck It sucks that five of the world songs aren't on here (I was looking forward to _Auld Lang Syne_ since, you know, blatant F6 and C6), but I wanted the Japanese version because of those other exclusive songs since I doubt anyone else would have shown them properly, and many other models also have the US exclusive songs. I'm really glad you enjoyed the video. Also, did you notice the Bossa Nova, Merengue, Reggae, and Ska rhythms? Hmm...

Tone #75-76 takes me so back to the good days of the early 2000s when I use to own the Casio CTK-541. It was one of the first electronic keyboards I owned and sadly, I remembered that we had to give it up when it no longer worked. However, I got it replaced with the CTK-2000 which I still own to this very day.

Sadly, I’m all too familiar with this Casio sound chip as Casio used it in many keyboards. I much prefer the wave table sound chips in Casio keyboards released before 1996. It’s not to say that I don’t like this sound chip.

Can I say that it's still better than the AHL Sound Source? Honestly I thought some of the AHL tones sound a bit off, and the AHL keyboards have reused the same designs a lot. In my opinion, the A² Sound Source has more charm and it actually feels like an electronic keyboard.

I had this keyboard for many years!! Finally stopped working. I'd love to be able to create sampled instruments from these tones to resurect them in a modern Daw. Do you know someone who has done this, or would you be willing to sample the middle C for each tone and all the rhythms and basses? I would pay you for your time. The CTK-520L keyboards contain a 1Mb ROM that contains the Song Bank data. Presumably, there are only two versions: English and Japanese. However, the CTK-220L keyboards appear to not include this ROM. (This assumption is based off of the fact that the English CTK-220L has the same songs as the Japanese version and the assumption that "445" is the model code for the CTK-220L. The datasheet is here: elektrotanya.com/casio_ctk-520l.pdf/download.html and the interesting part is on page 10 of 21, diagram JCM446-MA1M B.) *At your own risk,* you could try desoldering and removing that ROM from the keyboard to see if it will get you the CTK-220L song bank. In fact, I myself have been wondering if this would work. The ROM chip is shown here: kzbin.info/www/bejne/oWrIqJytfM11ntk
