@@hamzahhussain6580 yeah I thought that also, but people are still trying, edexcel gave us one thing for 2 years that was not of any use in the papers, today's paper (3) will also be a nightmare.

I love that it keeps answers in the exact form as long as possible. I also like that it treats 2(x+1) or 2(radical)3 as (2(x+1)) and (2(radical)3)) like I am used to even inserting the extra parentheses. EquaserTV on youtube has a series of 13 videos on this calculator that covers all the modes. I love the separate 'X' key and that 'Shift' + STO(recall) shows all the memories and the values in them in case I forgot which one to use!

Yes, it loses all the calculations history unless you have the value stored in one of the variable memories (The alphabets like A,B,C etc.). Input the value you want to store and press "STO" then press one of the buttons in the 3rd row (for example A). The next time you need that value, you press alpha and that particular button.

Casio should put computer algebra system on their scientific calculators so that it can show analytic integral and derivative solutions, instead of numerical evaluation only. This should be possible even for difficult integrations because there are already websites that can do this. Also, it is possible that there are functions (well-behaved smooth ones) that this calculator cannot do even numerically. Try to integrate this: ∫(c,a) [b(1/x−1/a)]⁻⁰·⁵ dx c = 6.959e+08 a = 1.496e+11 b = 2.654e+20 The analytic solution of the integrand (without the limits) is √(a/b) { √(ax−x²) + a arctan √(a/x−1) } When you put in the limits, the result is 5578381.9098326220749537677322663 This calculation is for the amount of time (in seconds) that it would take for the Earth to fall into the sun, if somehow its transverse motion were stopped, and it began to fall from rest at time t=0 toward the sun. The variable c is the sun's radius. The variable a is the initial separation between sun and Earth (when they are momentarily at rest). The variable b is twice the sun's gravitational parameter in MKS units. But try to make the Casio fx-991ex do this integration, even numerically. I don't yet have one of these calculators, or I would do it myself. If you succeed, I will be impressed enough to buy one of them.
@okaro65952 жыл бұрын
Symbolic integration and derivation would likely cause them to be banned in exams.
@Jenab72 жыл бұрын
@@okaro6595 I'm not in school any more. Also, I didn't complete the symbolic integration in my example problem. To remove the singularity at x=0, you can replace the arctan function with the equivalent arccos function, like this: ∫(c,a) [b(1/x−1/a)]⁻⁰·⁵ dx = √(a/b) { √(ax−x²) + a arctan √(a/x−1) } = √(a/b) { √(ax−x²) + a arccos √(x/a) } You should do this because, whereas you and I know that the arctangent of infinity is pi over two, a computer will only see a divide by zero and stop working. You can work around this by using an if-then-else control loop, with special exception for x=0, but that's more code than necessary. Just use the expression with the arccosine function.
