I have had mine for a few months now and it gets a lot of wrist time, mostly when I'm cycling or other exercise. I don't use the notifications (it's a drain on the battery) but, has all the information I need with a great display. It also makes a great night watch. I have the same blue model which is different without being to loud.

I actually made a mistake about the vibration function, it does work for the alarms and alerts. You can checkout the pinned comment where the correction was made.

You are completely wrong about the watch not allowing you to use the vibration alert for alarms. That is all I used it for. Thanks for the video.

Oh, it must be an issue with the one I got, it doesn’t vibrate when the alarm kicks in. Thank you for pointing that out!

@@simplewatchtalksI have one too if you go into your settings you can turn on vibration and there are a couple options. Go to notifications then choose all on. If you only want vibration and no beep turn the beep off.

Casio should update this watch with 2 things. 1) solar charger and 2) the light button should work as long as pushed iso max 5 secs. I have the blue and yellow one and really like them

Great looking watch and great review. All this concern about wrist size and watch size should be a thing of the past. A big watch on a small or medium sized wrist will look even bigger and better.

@@SK27_VLOGS I haven't reviewed the GBD 100, I think the only difference is square vs circular case, the technology and features should be the same. I think the GBD 100 should wear smaller, but it comes down to your preferred style.

Nice watch, but... Anything over 39.9mm is not my cup of tea unfortunately. That would be a brilliant top seller watch in 39mm body I'd spend my money straight away. In the meantime until casio specialists understand that there's another market of small watches enthusiasts out there I'll stay with my modified countdown timer version of my w-800h until they click 😂. Thanks for the vid very nice presentation. Thumb 👊😺👍🏻

Luckily I received my black GBD-200 as a gift (otherwise it would have gone back to the seller on the double). I gotta say the display is indeed great, so is the overall look. It is also great that the watch has a vibration alarm and unfortunately that is where the good points stop.I use the GBD-200 as a stand-alone watch, not connected to a phone, I just can't stand that. The main problem is, that Casio tries desperately to be "smart" and compete with other succesful brands but miserablely fail. The UI is catastrophic, as a matter of fact it is one of the worst - if not THE worst - (even for Casio standards) I have ever seen on ANY digital watch. The response time when hitting a button (except the light button) is a bad joke, the countdown timer is completely useless, once you want to set a value above 60 minutes but even up to 60 minutes it's a pita to set. There is no hourly chime, neither vibe nor beep - wtf? The MM/DD format should have been settable to DD/MM (any 10 $ Timex can do this) and probably in other languages as well. Casio really screwed up a watch that could have been so much better with just a few ridiculous more programming lines, instead they made one of the best looking digital watches (in my opinion) and turned it into one of the worst UI's ever - what a pitty.

I don't get why so many like this display. I'm not blind or have any vision issues and clearly these MIPs displays are better than negative displays but still hard to see in low light at a glance. The positive displays are and have always been superior for readability.

For me it’s the oversized fonts, I think legibility is better than classic displays under normal lighting, and the viewing angles.

@@simplewatchtalkswhile I can agree with those points, in almost every practical use, I just can't see it as well. Day to day, it's low lighting, the wrong angle, etc.. - these are the everyday and often situations that just make it impractical to me. Negative and MIPs displays just seem like an odd "bug" Casio can't seem to get right or shake off given how useful their positive displays are.

I have a Garmin Instinct and I can tell you that it doesn't make any difference in legbity whether the display is set to (+) or (-). Yes. it is a big difference with LCD's but a no brainer with MIP's. Still, it would be great if the Casio had the same oppurtunity, not for legibility but for personal mood/style.

You are pretty fortunate with the vision mate , because about 70% of humans on planet earth wear glasses , i used to be like you with good everything when i was young , those times are behind me sadly. I like the casios and g shocks for their robustness , in years past when I wore conventional watches due my clumsy gate i was always banging watches on door frames(hence i have draw full of broken watches). Back to the Casio displays, I’ve been looking at the many different models for a while now, and for me with my old peepers , this is one of the very very few Casio watches I’ve looked at that looks decently legible, nice big sharp numbers on the display. My initial first thought for a watch was the Apple Watch Ultra with the very contrasty and bright display , I don’t really need all the smart features , although id probably like them eventually. But the smartwatches all have a couple of problems , the first being battery , the second being how long will they last? And given the Apple watch costs about 7 times more than the gbd 200 , it is a conundrum.

Display is sooo good that it can't run a stopwatch.... Bluetooth is pointless on watches... put regular display on it and solar... I'll buy it

I totally get your point. I think you're asking for a watch that already exists, GW-M5610U. This GBD-200 targets another customer base, so it wouldn't make sense for Casio to make it similar to the GWM.

And here's a Question for you it's been out for about 2 years and they didn't put the MAIN DISPLAY ON ALL OF ITS ADVERTISING FOR THE WATCH???????????????? IF IT DID I WOULD BUY IT WHEN IT FIRST CAME OUT! Now I've got one 😎 and it is REALLY THE BEST DISPLAY ON A DIGITAL WATCH, BUT EVEN NOW THEY DISPLAY THE SECONDARY DISPLAY....WHY OH WHY HAVE THE PUT IT ON Casio 5600H I wouldn't wasted money on a watch that's not Solar and charges up with Tough Solar Tech if you don't use the Heart Monitor every day lolol a watch for hypochondriacs lol anyway peeved at the moment as I've got two new watches the Japanese 5600 with tough core and extras in negative display and this one which has a better screen than my Japanese 5600 which I can barely see in daylight but this watch I can see in twilight nearly dark, should have put these comments first lol but then they just came out with my favorite watch arggggg sigh suppose I'll have to buy that one Now even though it's slightly smaller MIPS screen than this watch sigh
