will not the oil in years to come change its property (aging, heating in summer cooling in winter etc.) and turn from fully translucent to milky or at least less transparent?

Ya years down road it can start to degrade, but eventually battery will need to replaced too. Its messy but would be easy to just replace oil. Silcone oil would be better to use probably more stable then mineral.

I dont see a reason why it wouldn't but i just put in drawer so it turns off, will see if hitting light turns it back as a start. But once it drops to M will see if will charge back up to H.

I modified it to add glow. I didnt film this one, but I have videos doing it to my other casios same process.

Great work! I'm just about to do this mod to a F91W. Might look at doing it to some G-Shocks with harder to read negative displays after seeing this too. Here's the best video of someone doing it I'd found whilst browsing youtube (I've watched a lot!). Nice and clean with some cool testing along with it. kzbin.info/www/bejne/oH3QcqRmmtWZqKs&ab_channel=Defender With bubbles, i'd also considered if it was an issue then you could sit the bowl/watch in the oil solution on top of something vibrating to move the bubbles out? Perhaps a washing machine or dryer cycle? I saw someone else tilt the module slightly and use a syringe with oil in it and slowly inject it from the lower side whilst bathing in it at the same time. This worked well to push any remaining bubbles out too. Love the vids! 😍

i let it soak for about 30min. With this model its a little trick because there are 2 piece of plastic sandwhiched together so i had to push out air bubbles and resoak again. with a non solar model shouldn't have that issue.
