Hello and thanks for the test. The manual specifically states that to acquire GPS fast you need to connect the watch to the smartphone once every three days to download automatically the ephemeris of the satellites. FWIW my garmin takes about 30 sec to lock gps on the open sky and about 3-4 min on a covered area. Good work from Casio there.

I got the GBD H2000 and it takes a few minutes too to get GPS. But its an awesome fitness watch, not a smartphone in a watch. And I like that. I can hit the button as Im getting dressed then hit go….hey its possible

I want to buy it. Many people say the heart rate reading is far from accurate. What do you say about that?
@dharmadharma1303 Жыл бұрын
i don't think so. İts Polar based.
@ZhangJingxi Жыл бұрын
Not just heart rate, but also steps....the only thing accurate is the compass barometer and temperature.
@ROrneli Жыл бұрын
i mean it is not meant to be a medical device. it seems accurate(enough) to me.
@ZhangJingxi Жыл бұрын
@ROrneli yeah but an inaccurate HR sensor is useless because it doesn't serve the purpose and mislead you even. So it is better to not have it at all.
@ROrneli Жыл бұрын
@@ZhangJingxi I used it yesterday to play tennis and it seemed to be pretty accurate . at rest is dead on. but it is hard for any heart sensor to read your arm while moving and sweating . hell my galaxy 3 watch just quits trying to read my pulse. I have not seen the inaccuracies people claim here . next time i will take a hand held medical and oxygen level device to compare in between brakes. Also if it is as innacurate as claimed it can still be patched up in a future patch.

How long does it stay connected to GPS for me this watch loses GPS connection and goes out of walking mode back to watch mode. This is why this watch is useless for any hiking / running activity.

Um why would you try in the house?
@TheCovertCrow Жыл бұрын
Well Mr Davis...I thought I would start there as far as seeing how strong the signal was....my gshock rangeman with multi band 6 gets signal and compass function in the house and the car. Thanks for watching, see ya on the next one. Cheers mate

@@TheCovertCrow I have the previous model GBD-H1000. The GPS signal acquisition is about the same here in Jersey, but I only ever tried outdoors.

I bought it and received it yesterday . I like it but I honestly feel like it is several steps behind even an old Galaxy 3 samsung watch (which i own) The galaxy 3 has auto detect work out. which means that if you start playing tennis for example it may not know you are playing tennis but it knows you are working out . the casio does not care if you are doing anyhting until you manuall activate it. Also The Galaxy 3 seemlesly pairs and updates your samsung health where you can see your calories burnt, any exercise done , calories etc.. casio does not pair with samsung health and i still dont know where to read all my information regarding my work out on the g-shock. Also the samsung watch (even though i got the blue tooth one and not the LTE ) allows you to receive voice calls and even text back where the casio one just beeps and it is sometimes hard to read the texts because they are really small. at least in the default mode. I will try to change it to full screen and see. Also no ability to add apps or widges on the g-shock . Also no ability to add new sports like tennis , basquetball or anything else .. I hope they fix that in a future update but we all know casio is very slow with addiging stuff to products that are already out. Where the G-shock shines over the samsung watch: The look of it. it definitely looks like a g-shock and not a nerdy smart watch. -Battery life it seems to hold a lot better than the galaxy, the galaxy had to be recharged daily.(altough on the same price range you can get a Garmin Fenix 6 that has the same battery life plus more options.) -it is a diving watch per say. you can take this scuba diving at recreational levels and use it as a back up timer watch. -notifications seem to work better than the samsung watch as far as not missing any. -It is a watch first and a smarter watch after so it will probably be usable even if blue tooth becomes obsolete. -it has actual temperature, compass and altimeter sensors so it can be used as an adventure watch while in the wild or in the middle of nowhere .you can also get your co-ordinates by using the set time option which may come in handy if you have a map at hand to find your location (yes i know garmin gives you maps ) so so far I like it and I am keeping it , just frustrated with somethings.
