Too bad pressing the light button wouldn't allow you to read the digital parts of the watch. kinda insignificant or negligible to some, but definitely a deal breaker to me.

I think you need to expose it to light or use a flashlight and point it at the watch then it should glow green if not just point the light at it longer

@@CaptainLeftHookthat mudmaster GG1000-1A3 that u wear it is still good .so no need to change with the new watch..im also wear g shock 3 years design gravitymaster GA-1100-2ADR red and blue colour...its still good until now and the compas condition still ok...no need to embrass even this design 3years ago...saving the money is most important right bro...but your money its your choice...

the gg 1000 1a3 has an easier to read digital display because it's not negative. it also has brighter colors than the 1a5. which makes a big difference in reading the overall watch, the luminous is the exact same on both watches but when pressing the light button the gg 1000 1a3 will be easier to read. hope i gave the answer that you were looking for.
