Casio G-Shock Square GW-B5600AR-1 G-Refit "Virtual Armor" Push Buttons Replacement

This is a video documenting how to replace the OEM Casio G-Shock Square GW-B5600AR-1 push buttons with G-Refit "Virtual Armor" Push Buttons.
I'm sure there are other videos out there that show this general replacement technique that are a lot shorter than my video. Nonetheless, this is the way I did it. If you're interested, please check it out.

Just did this mod. You aren't kidding about the c clips on the buttons. I found it went fairly easy using an old airbrush needle with an extremely slight bend at the tip. Knocked this out in about 10 minutes after that.

Great video. Just FYI, the factory screen is mineral glass. I think you choose wisely to leave it. Not only does it look and match better, you're not risking compromising the water resistance. As for the 2 little legs that reach up from the rear of the module and touch the back cover... They're contacting the speaker that is part of the rear cover. That's how the watch beeps. 🙂 I plan on doing this to my GWM5610. I'm totally using your videos as a guide. Thank you for making them.

i did same mod on my gwm5610u(AWESOM!!!) but i'm looking for buttons kit tva style. it seems this buttons kit for gw b5600 doesn't fit on 5610. i'd like to know before buy them.

As u can see. It's not too hard. Just a little tricky cause those clips are so small and u don't want to lose them.

How does the case & strap look now? Are there any scratches? Does it scratch easily?

It's fine. No scratches. Holds up great. My last one with the camo pattern is surprisingly scratch resistant, too. I banged it against my door jam. It scraped some paint off of the door. I cleaned it off and no really damage to the case.

Being that this video is a year old and seems like you have a lot of experience with this mod/repair; how have the buttons held up? Has it affected the watertightness at all? That's the biggest worry that I have about doing this mod.

No problems. I've washed the watch plenty of times and no issues
