I really admire how chill and collected this runner stayed despite dying a lot. A lot of runners get really flustered and unhappy-which is understandable, with such a big audience-but the run is more enjoyable for everyone when they have a good attitude about it. Keeping your cool under pressure is impressive.

It's impressive, and my guess is that it's also required. It's better to keep your cool when you're focusing on something so difficult. Which is probably why Wyatt chose this soundtrack.

Once you've played enough Kaizo, death is basically an old friend, and you’re not all that bothered by it

When doing extremely tough kaizo, you die all the time even after hundreds of hours of practice. Most speed runs aren't quite as difficult -- they might usually not die and have maybe a handful of super difficult skips or tricks to perform with a backup strategy. Here, he knows dying is part of the process.
