Casio MDV107D-1A3VDF - The best diver watch under $100 money can buy

Hi. Very Nice review . I hv recently bought the mdv107 that comes with a metal strap. I think it is of 44.2mm dial width with 22mm lug-lug. Plz correct me if wrong. And I want to change the strap to leather/rubber strap. So pl guide in this regard, which size will best fit & which are some of good brand. Thanks.

I think that the original MDV 106 is better than the 107. Not only because the 106 has the Marlin cashback and face, but also because the blue on blue version on a Long Island Watch bracelet which has solid links, screwed construction and beautifully crafted little solid female end links that make the 106 a great fit on my 5¾" wrists.(Recommended but I have no connection with Long Island other than being a very happy UK buyer) I do, however, have a 107 on the way because I wanted another Duro to modify with sapphire and the 4 handed equivalent of that ultra accurate Myota module, the sapphire mainly to clear the taller hand stack with more than a blue Rizla's width to spare. Also, the green 106s were currently over £50 apiece when I last looked on Casio's UK site, and that's with member discount! So a 107 I shall be having shortly (checking tracking info, impatient old lass that I am😊.) I bought my first (Marlin faced) 106 2 year ago because my Omega Seamaster started to misbehave in spite of my baying it throughout its life so far. Bought that Casio because I love a larger watch than some women do and because it looks a lot like a similarly premium piece to my poorly grail watch, the Omega. Now, especially on that bracelet and because it's bluer than a 3 Hour VHS containing Chubby Brown's even less amusing "jokes," I cannot help but put my "Duro" on my wrist at the start of each day. You should have seen the looks I got when I wore the big Casio rather than my late Mum's 18ct vintage dress watch to do my bridesmaid duty at an old school friend's recent wedding, her third to date.😂 My pal's new husband, himself a watch guy, had previously dismissed the best ever sub - £300 dive capable watch as a waste of wrist space, until he saw the somewhat incongruous sight of mine, sparkling under the lights at the reception, well clear of the short sleeves on my frock. Truly a universal timepiece for anyone and everyone, that's how I view the 106 and the 107, watches just don't come with more style and substance for the money, in my opinion of course, but has there, F91W apart, ever been a more loved watch gracing the pages of each and every Casio dealer's site? I must say, though, that the Duro makes me feel happy, whether it's standing on its display stand or on my skinny wee wrist. 😊

Thank you for the detailed comment. Indeed the original duro 106 was a much better fit and has been perfected over the years with a huge fan following. This one is good for larger wrists where size is not an issue at all, the 22 mm or 24 mm strap size fitting watches. For your size of wrist you can try the new release by Casio that is a 38mm duro, in fact without crown 35 plus mm. It is called MDV10 and hope it will fit beautifully on your wrist as a dive watch.
