Nice review, I'd had this watch for a few weeks and really like it. It's my second Android Wear, coming from a Moto 360 Sport. You nailed it re: the top level monochrome LCD, that along with Casio's nice software add-ons are the killer apps for this watch. I would point out that you can use the mono LCD with *any* watch face, I initially thought it was just with the Casio ones. So if you find a third party watch face you like (I use Pear), just set Always On to off in the AW app and it will activate the mono LCD. It also has the ability to correct time via GPS and along with the built in sensors, makes a nice watch even when not connected to your phone.

Interesting that Casio started making smart watches. Don't like smart watches in general, but this looks interesting, has a typical issue with these smart watches made by big name watch producers, huge af, looks unwieldy on your wrists. This music is dope, another solid video cheers.

I'm curious about your battery usage, what are you doing on an average day? I can comfortably get 2 days with this watch, and can usually stretch that to 3 without too much trouble. Weekends when I walk and am tracking myself (using ViewRanger) I can easily get the entire weekend. What's an average day for you?

I still like the "transrefletive" display of my good old moto 360 sport. It's even more readable in direct Sunlight. I don't care about OLED in Smartwatches, i want THIS. But it still hasn't received Android Wear 2 yet :-(

Interesting that it has even QZSS but almost no phone(let alone smartwatches), despite quite a lot of recent chipsets supporting, has support for Galileo. Some phones even have Beidou support, but not Galileo! Maybe it's because there are not yet enough satellites yet.

I was a Casio Databank user for 25+yrs. It was unbeatable for usability, reliability, durability, and pricing. If only Casio had been able to turn the Databank into a smartwatch, I would have been first in line to buy it. To me the ProTrek is entirely unappealing.

What smart watch would you recommend to someone who wants to get into smart watches, is a college student without $500 deep pockets, and still has a Samsung note 4 (Not sure if that'll make a difference.) I was thinking of the Moto 360 2nd Gen but not really sure, the gear S3 looks nice but is it worth the increase in price?

Volcomintality I wouldn't get the 360 anymore since it came out so long ago, I would recommend either the zte quartz which is incredibly inexpensive for an amazing product, or the lg watch sport if u can afford it
