Picked up this watch and absolutely love it. Great build. Great features. Battery is just as good as anyone other GPS watch.

No optical heart rate monitor. I'm curious as to why you didn't mention that. That's inexcusable for Casio not to have that on a fitness watch.
@jspring867 жыл бұрын
well this isn't a full review...it's an unboxing and size comparison. I mentioned the specs that stood out to me, a full review is better suited to running down full details and important omissions.
@johnmanley45287 жыл бұрын
I'm not getting on your case. I like your content. It's just that that is the first thing other than the massive size that stands out to me. No OHR on a fitness watch is bewildering to me.

How does this compare to the Nixon Mission size wise? I like the tool feature, something I think Nixon should implement as they have all of these sensors as well!
@jspring867 жыл бұрын
+Peace_Out the Nixon and this watch are very close. The Nixon is one of he only Android Wear devices I never got but judging from the spec sheet the Casio and Nixon are close in style too.
@HKPICTA7 жыл бұрын
I recently picked one up and its a great device, design on the Casio is very targeted at the outdoors where as the Nixon is a little more stylish. Good to see options being developed and released though. From 100% fashion, fitness to rugged outdoors, I think it's the variety that will keep the wearable market ticking along.

gear frontier or hwawei watch 2...which to choose?
@jspring867 жыл бұрын
+Anirup Gaikwad depends on what you want. The Gear S3 has better battery life and I think Samsung Pay is better than Android Pay by far...but if you use Google's eco system of services Android Wear is just a better integrated OS for your watch.
@anirup4g7 жыл бұрын
cool i am already liking samsung pay on s8 so frontier will be a better fit. tnx for replying!

Is there an app in the google play store that is a simple map that uses openstreetmap data ? Also is the google play on the android 2.0 the same on both android and iOS cell phone ? Basically I would like a sports smart watch to give me a map feature that uses openstreetmap (hiking trails) for my iPhone. I don't really need the ABC sensors or plotting waypoints.
@jspring867 жыл бұрын
+f22shift I think the Garmin Fenix might be your best bet I don't know of Android Wear watch that has that built in. I'll look around for an app, but the iOS play store is a bit different as not every app can interface with the iOS version of Android Wear.

Not really the watch for everybody...but the features it has are unique enough for many outdoor enthusiasts to buy it I guess. Otherwise they wouldn't have brought it back for another year.

This watch is so ridiculously huge that it looks like a can on tuna on the wrist. The ONLY place I would wear a watch this big is in the middle of the woods or on a desolate mountain top with no other humans in sight. Did I mention the color orange is only desirable by people who have red hair because it hides the fact that they have red hair. Thank you.

@jspring867 жыл бұрын
+LewyTheFlyS13 I'd say this watch has a different audience than the S3 though. This watch is definitely not one I'd carry as a daily driver either but I'm sure some people out there need all these sensors.

500$ to wait 3-4 seconds for an built in app? That's a joke not a smartwatch.
@jspring867 жыл бұрын
Pretty much every smartwatch has a 3-4 second loading time for almost all apps...there's not a SD 835 in these watches.
