I've noticed if you like a watch someone is wearing then chances are your tastes in watches are going to be similar across the board. The SGW600 is a great watch for sure. I think watches like this is where Casio shines.

I have this watch, but i dont know how to remove the straps :/ Should i cut the old straps, or is there a way to remove the holding pin?

it's easy to remove the pins , look it up on yt. don't cut the straps

They are functionally keeping the asthetic bezel attached.

What's the point of the N-S-E-W on the face if the actual compass has it's own screen?

Most likely just a quick reference for you to mentally visualize a compass rose when youre trying to do quick heading checks with the sun.

I haven't changed out the strap so I can't really make any good recommendations for a different strap. You can't really go wrong with NATO bands though.

You can look at the Casio OEM parts distributor. They have two; one for each coast (in the US).

Yes you can. It'll give you the option to change from 12hr to 24hr format.

For this model it's not bad. Not difficult to read when compared to some other negative display models.

What about the thermometer?

It works just as good as any other Casio; as long as you take it off for 30 minutes it will give you a somewhat accurate measurement of the temperature.

Mine was accurate to 0.5C out of the box but you can calibrate the thermometer if you have to.

@@degenerateWA Old Casios had a body warmth compensation mode so you didnt need to take them off to always have an accurate reading. Modern Casios are garbage, smh.
