Hmm. Maybe a little bit too expensive for what it delivers. 500 could be okay. But not more. Considering the water resistance, I would refuse to pay a single buck for this thing. 🕐⚙️🍸

@NaNByZero19 сағат бұрын
@ Sure. If you really want it, you will get it. I just have limitations with water resistance. If 50 meters is 50 meters guaranteed and not just splash resistant, then it’s a totally different deal. But in fact, this thing thrills me less than a Movado or a Venezianico. Without having experienced it in person of course. It’s like falling in love via the internet. Not always the best idea. I hope you will enjoy this watch a lot!

Another fabulous watch in the Promaster Skyhawk line. All the complications one could want or need for a great chronograph, nice military style face, excellent lume (hours of illumination). The Yellow accents are well placed and not overdone on this watch - on other Blue Angels editions it can be a bit much, giving the watch a clean look. Titanium makes it light and not too shiny blingy like some over polished steel can be. Once you get the hang of it, the watch is not too difficult to set, and really with the perpetual calendar, once set, you practically don't have to touch it again. I don't find this watch to be too big, but I prefer larger sizes. It also helps to see the dial clearly and unmistakenly. I have others in this line and this is one of the better if not best repesentations. Of course, we know the watch is an Eco-Drive, powered by light, anbd setting is AT (Atomic Timekeeping - accurate to a fault). Great looking, versatile in wear, although not pretending to be a dress watch. You won't go wrong with this watch.

Timex has a notorious history for being just plain crap. Any watch collector could tell you that. This is just keeping the tradition with an unwarranted price tag which is keeping in lockstep with 2025...where they are likely starting to use AI to rip people off.
@degenerateWAКүн бұрын
Harsh. I like Timex watches. Im a fan of the previous S2 as well as many of their other models. However there are many learning curves they need to overcome if they want to enter the modern arena that is the "watch community".

Dang, eye-opening, for sure. I was pretty smitten with this one at first (love the simple silver look) but wasn't planning to buy, anyway, since I have a long wishlist in this price (and above/below, ha). Digging the bracelet system a lot and would love to see that in other brands more. I'll echo you and others re: the ghost date, pretty disappointing. It's just so hard to defend a ghost when microbrands at a fraction of the price are going that extra mile to either alter the movement to remove it or utilize a movement without it in the first place. I also find the carbon to be a little odd here; wonder if it could've just been more skeletonized there with a recess or something, but that's getting nitpicky, I suppose. Anyway, solid review, dawg! Glad to see it.
@degenerateWAКүн бұрын
appreicate it bro. I'm going to chalk this up to inexperience in this price-range. I genuinely want to see them here and I want to see them succeed. But big-boy prices deserve big-boy feedback and I can't let amateur mistakes like that fly.

Thank you for this review. Nice to finally see a hands-on review of this watch. Given my lifelong affection for the Timex brand, I'm disappointed by some of the flaws that you note (a ghost position for 2K?!). I was really hoping Timex hit it out of the park with this one.

I applaud Timex for doing something like this and think it's cool that they have a Halo type watch. The bracelet technology is really neat, but the shortcuts kill it for me. Ghost date may not be a huge deal to most, but like you, I think it screams cheap and lazy. I'm sure these will sell, but hopefully the next release like this from Timex will be even better
@degenerateWAКүн бұрын
Exactly. I wanted nothing but success for Timex, but it's readily apparent that it lacks the "thing" you typically associate with other watches in this price range. The scope and intent are all here; Timex just needs more practice playing around in this territory.

Titanium, carbon, looking great, should have been a $600/$700 watch IF it had the proper movement. And 50m WR, no halflinks and a stubborn clasp are a bit disappointing. Keep practicing, Timex, the looks are there, the execution needs to feel a bit less 'random'. Yeah, looks really nice imo, thanx for the review.
