Thanks for uploading this video I think you played some really great sounds. I appreciate that you played the instrument as much as talked about it because there are SO many videos where they talk and talk and talk but play a couple crappy notes and thats it.

I use to think that too! When Casio first came out, I looked at them as being toy instruments. They come a long way, lots of hard work and they deserve every dollar I plan to spend once I decide which synth to choose from.

JP-80 is a terrific synth that will consume all of your time. You might as well sell your XW, MOX8, and other stuff because a JP-80 and a software DAW is so powerful that you will not need or want anything else. I might get one, but right now I do not want to put in a huge effort and a lot of money into another major synth.

I love my Roland VR-09 Combo Organ (Keyboard), but I wished that I would had bought this Casio XWE-P1 as it cost much less than my Roland VR-09 Combo Organ. I wanted to purchase the Hammond SK-1 76 note, but most expensive. The main reason I bough my Roland VR-09 Combo Organ, was the fascinating D-Beam, not available on any non-Roland keyboard. This Casio sounds great!

Pat Saxon I’m deciding which one of these to buy and I’m only interested in the organ sounds. I’m even considering the Yamaha reface. Why do say you whished you get the Casio? From what I heard on KZbin videos, the Roland has the better (more vintage and realistic) sounding organ section. At least to my ears. So is your decision based on sound or just on money? Can you recommend another entry level organ? Or is there something like an affordable midi keyboard with drawbars so I just use Software organs?

1. There is only one arpeggiator. You can have any zone access it. So you could have it active in the right hand and not the left as an example. 2. Only one Hex Layer sound can be active at one time.

great video dude! i want to ask you 2 questions 1) when you split the keyboard to get one voice playing with left hand and another voice with right hand, can you assign 1 arpegiator to the left voice and 1 other arpegiator to the right voice? so the point is to have bass on the left playing with arpegiator and lead on the right playing with another arpegiator? 2) when you split keyboard as i described, can you use the hexlayer? on both L/Rvoices? 3) what are your monitors? looks like KRK thanks

Thanks, Alex. It's certainly stood the test of time. Other brands have had several generations of mid-priced synths come and go in the five or so years that the xw-p1 has been out, but the Casio keeps on keeping on. All the best Alex, and thanks again.

Hey Alex! Does it have speakers in it? And where are they, if it does? How powerful do they sound? I know it can work on batteries, so it means it should have speakers, but I can't find info about that.
@pprimiani10 жыл бұрын
Pro keyboards don't usually have speakers. Only hobby keyboards/home keyboards do.
@steamlilly10 жыл бұрын
Partly Yes. Some don't. But there are weighted-key full size boards that do. Like FPs from Roland etc. Also, some of the hobby/home keyboards sound better over their inbuilt speakers, rather than a good pa or acoustic amp, because the output signal is way too muddy, etc. Each tool has it's purpose.
