Excellent, the Noire piano has the tone and response I've been trying to find in the PX-5S. Thanks Mike and please keep them coming.

Beautiful sound! Thanks Mike! I have a PX-5S and really love it. I have discovered something about the keyboard velocities though that I am wondering if anyone else out there has experienced. It seems impossible to get the highest velocities out of the keyboard. Like in the range of about 115-127. Changing the velocity settings (light / normal / heavy) doesn't help. The only way I can actually send a velocity of 127 (to both the internal sounds AND the Midi outputs) is to set the velocity setting to 'OFF' and make the off velocity level 127. I am a professional pianist and the most I can get out of it is MAYBE about 122-124 and that's literally only if I slam my hands ridiculously hard onto it. Any normal type of heavy playing does not get above about 110 or so. Seems like something is wrong, or perhaps there is some other adjustment or setting I am missing?

Sounds wonderful. I have a PX5S but haven’t been to the forums for ages. I’ll log in tomorrow and download this and see what other new stage settings are available. Thanks.

I wish I could agree, I could barely even hear him, or the Keyboard, and I am not deaf, and my speaker is not that great, but neither is it that bad, ... either.

Superb sound! Can any of these Casio pianos do live loops? Something like xw p1 does...
@casiomusicgear5 жыл бұрын
The PX-5S has an 8 track "phrase recorder". It isn't a real-time looper like the XW series has but it can be used to record parts which can also be triggered live from the keyboard. The PX-560 has a traditional sequencer.

Mike, as always, you are incredible i what you do! Thank you for your support and all the interesting new stuff you share with us. This soundscape piano you created is wonderful, and the sub is really great and thick! Monitors & Phones both show the depth of this instrument sound! I am a newbie player myself, and got this "sound machine" to start my journey on. Your videos really help :).Is there a place where all the PX-5s videos are gathered? Thank You, David.

I wanted to use an EDM technique to sidechain a tone with low-eq instead of cutoff using the arppegiator. Could try out in combination with pitch shift and several tones with hexlayer 🤔

Hi Mike. Great video and the PX-5S can really produce some inspiring patches. Does the PX-5S have the same keybed as the Casio Privia PX310? Previously owned the PX310 and found the keybed really noisy and bouncy so couldn't get on with it. Thanks

I have two questions. Is this keyboard still manufactured by Casio, and if not, why? It seems to be immediate when switching to new sounds or modifying the sound on the fly. It seems like a great choice for playing live, as a player doesn't need to menu dive.

The PX-S1000 and PX-S3000 have different capabilities - including things that the PX-5S can't do. Might be able to come create something like this on the PX-S3000. We'll experiment and let you know.

Mike, ... Respectfully, and Professionally, ... are you sharing "Sounds:? BECAUSE I CAN BUT FAINTLY HEAR THEM (!) Have you QA'd as to how "AUDIBLY And "Clearly" they are coming across? ... As in "VOLUME"? I confess, I do not have a $1K Phone, (SHOULD I buy one so that I can hear your Review? My phone is only about $.5K but, ... Do "SOUNDS" MATTER?, or should I develop Telephathy? You are "Professional"? Yes, that "comes through" on some of your other Videos, but, ... ("Presentation abiity exemplified") in "This Video? Not so much. Have you heard playback of "YOUR" Recording / Presentation on on varied devices? Please forgive me for not having my cell phone connected to an external speaker that has mucho 'Gain' and Volume "TURNED UP", but, ... 1) You are speaking in "Hushed" and fairly "Vanilla" Tone, ... (Is that not "True" sir?) 2) I can barely hear the (Casio PX-5s keyboard, compared to other videos on KZbin, which I can hear VERY WELL. 3) Now, if you would' have me to buy an external speaker for my cell Phone, AND My PC (which does not pick you up, 'Either', except "Feebly", like a mouse in the background, more focused on its cheese, or paycheck, ... then Great, Otherwise than that, any "Updates" on Sounds here are of MOOT / MUTE relevance to me, because decibel Level is Quite Low. 1) Well you be employed by Casio very much longer? 2) Is this to boost Casio Sales, or bury them into the ground? 3) Not personally meaning, but PROFESSIONALLY, ... whatever "IMPROVEMENTS" that you are helping to "Come Forward" here, seem difficult to discern and distinguish much from them, due ...to LACK of Volume, ... (And my "Hearing", is actually fairly good, AND, ... Thus I inquire, but do not concern, just continue to be Mediocre, as I will not purchase your poorly reviewed keyboard any time soon, with this sort of "Showcasing". (I can only ponder as to: Your Integrity in "Professional Pride", "AUDIO level detailing", and "Attention" to all "Pertinent" Aspects of "PROPERLY PRESENTING this product, ... If I'm wrong, then, Perhaps it is your Your "unSound assistant" That might have been sleeping, or on a break, but in the end, you should have checked the Sound Mix, before releasing. (I am not sold by unlively mannequins and do not need "sales presenters" who waste my time, ENERGY, and Focus, THUS, ... Please "feel free" to send me a check to Reimburse me for "My Time" and Energy", ... which I spent, ... without pay, (unlike you) in suffering through your Insensitive UNPROFESSIONAL Disregard and Indifference in. ... I'm not inspired by people with the "Mumbles", flat dynamics, and who do not even (apparently) have the logic to double check their Sound Mix, before releasing (I Assure you, I would have never done that, and I am not as "expected" to be as productive as you are. MORE SELF CONSCIENTIOUS, Cognizant, and careful for such OBVIOUS details and Concerns, would be "desirable". Thank you so much! (NOT). But, perhaps on / in other instances, you will come thru more clearly, ... going forward, if still "Representing" Casio as a "Marketing Agent", in the future. (How long have you been doing this now? Certainly, this session is not so "PX-Pivotal" to me, except, in a Down-spiraling way.
