Thanks for these sessions, just got my PX5S about 3 weeks ago. Very impressive instrument in my opinion!

Please consider this as a successor to the PX-5S - - ( similar styling & color scheme - maybe replace black accents with a gunmetal/dark silver color ) - *** available in 61 & 76 keys ( with same piano action ) *** This is something many musicians are looking for ! - Adopt the screen from the 560 - - Add built-in speakers - - Have a total of 9 sliders & 9 rotary encoders - Add a set of percussive pads The PX-5S is almost an ideal controller / stage instruments for many people - but the size of the 88 is a bit excessive for many players - Please consider releasing an instrument with the concepts mentioned above & there will be a massive market for it!

Also need pedal 2 input to accept an expression pedal. It's a stage piano, and therefore if it does not have 88 keys many people will be disappointed -- you cannot please everyone. I prefer 88 keys on a synth, so that when I design a spit keyboard I still have 44 keys in each side of the split.

Hi Mike nice informative demonstration. Question, at the 58:00 minute mark you play what sounds like Peter Gabriel's Low Light, do you recall the synth pad voice? I know it a couple of years ago. Keep up the good work.

It's hard to get a good lead sound because the attacks are too percussive. Look at the classic Chick Corea lead sound. Actually, that would be a good challenge for the guru's, to emulate Chick's lead.

Will be a new update or remake to the Px 560?

I'd like to know the answer to that question. I bought the ps-5x and the px-560

yeah i am here to search for the same answer , i am about to buy a digital piano this seems really nice other then the dgx 670 but if this get updated this might actually be a better product

@@TECH3_ I haven't been able to find out why they stopped making updated keyboards after the px-560. Casio was on the right track.

@@robertbrown6879 yeah the only thing thats holding me back is its a 5 year old design right now and they can make a better one anyday the DGX 670 is new has almost same keys and better features interms of rhythm creation and stuff and casio can probably include those in a newer model maybe even with a better key action

S3000 because 5s doesn’t support a freakin music stand. However, if your a pro, then 5s is the way to go.

@@Bot-bg2cz What do you mean? The Casio CS-67 fits. Allthough its officially only for PX-160, PX-360, PX-560.
@bizarro-73 жыл бұрын
@@MrBart2k I think he's referring to a music rest (for sheets or a tablet), which the PX-5S does not have. You are correct in that the CS-67 piano stand fits the PX-5S (there are photos in a forum which prove that).
@bizarro-73 жыл бұрын
@@Bot-bg2cz That isn't much of a problem in the end because there are multiple alternatives in the market (for a price). For example, I've just found a German brand which produces robust modular piano stands which allow you to add the modules you want, like a music rest and a laptop holder. Or you could also build it yourself. I mean, yeah, it's more convenient to have integrated support for it, but it's not an unsolvable problem. I think they are not even comparable. The PX-S3000 is more modern, slim, has integrated speakers, expression pedal support and a very good sound... BUT lacks many other features that the PX-5S has and the key action is different. You must compare and decide for yourself, depending on your needs. For example, the PX-5S has a powerful *programmable arpeggiator* which can be used to design new incredible sounds. It also has MIDI DIN connectors, 4 knobs and 6 sliders which can be programmed to change its own sounds or control USB MIDI and DIN MIDI external devices (without the need of buying an external intermediate midi interface). It's older and has some drawbacks, but it's a PRO device.

Both of these digital pianos are getting long in the tooth. The world wonders when these things are to be updated. They were leaders when they were new but the world has been moving forward since then. As they age and wear in the field, users don't have a Casio option as a replacement except buying a new, old keyboard. Some may be shopping competing models from other brands instead.
@robertbrown68793 жыл бұрын
Casio obviously stopped going down the road of the ps-5x and px-560. That is really unfortunate. I own both. I've been asking the same question for a while now. Can't find the answer but I assume they figured it wasn't worth the investment for whatever reason. I think Casio would have kicked ass if they had continued down this line.
@therealjimmy54113 жыл бұрын
Haha you guys got owned by a 19 year old that proved your PS-X3000 isn't properly weighted. You even had to turn the comments off to silence your customers!!! I hope consumers that have purchased your product on the promise of a weighted keyboard to closely match the feel of playing an acoustic piano file a class action lawsuit for dishonest marketing representation of the actual product.
@justinmneil3 жыл бұрын
I have to disagree with you, Jimmy. I am one of those customers, and I couldn't be happier with my PX-S3000. Your mocking attitude is unwarranted. I'd guess you've never actually played one. I ordered my px-s after it won best-of-show at NAMM, and got one of the first units in the US. I've been playing the px-s for a couple years now, and I think it is a fantastic keyboard. I'm a fan of James Shawcross, I've been subscribed to his channel for years and enjoy his content. I was really looking forward to his in-depth review of the px-s, especially after his rather glowing reaction to it at NAMM. I was disappointed and confused by his later criticism. As soon as I saw his video, I tried his "soft A major" test. I was not able to tell the difference between the black and white keys. I think what James discovered is an engineering detail that doesn't really matter - what matters is how the instrument plays. To me, as a semi-pro church musician, there's not a better stage piano on the market, not only at the price, but at well above the price.
@matthewgaines103 жыл бұрын
Anybody who thinks a digital pianos should feel identical to a concert grand isn't particularly knowledgeable or experienced. When you need a acoustic piano, no digital device will do. No digital piano is perfectly weighted to identically match an acoustic piano. Only a 19 year old thinks a digital piano at the fraction of the price of its acoustic piano analog should be identical. You buy an acoustic piano when you need an acoustic piano. Not everyone has the need, desire, money, or space for that. Thus, there are compromises you make for that choice not to buy an acoustic piano. Sue away if you think it is warranted. They'll loose badly in a court. Only people who don't understand laws think a lawsuit for this makes any sense.

JPS is a mid-level player at best. If Leon Thomassien and Steve Weingart can play virtuoso music on the 3000, then the action is serviceable and more. JPS has decent reviews and he misses many “under the hood” aspects of all keyboards he reviews. He only plays a limited number of prepared pieces. Stu from Merriam Music is a much more objective and knowledgable reviewer and leagues better as a demo-er and player than JPS
