This track always reminded me of return to forever and seems like an homage to the more Spanish driven sounds of chick coreas jazz fusion sounds

I am a big fan of Return To Forever and I can totally hear what you’re talking about. This song sounds like it could fit in somewhere on “Where Have I Known You Before” from 1974. My dad turned me on to fusion and we used to listen to that album all the time when I was a kid. The song “Vulcan Worlds” really got me turned on to the bass guitar at a young age and Stanley Clarke’s influence is the reason why I still play to this day, some 30 years later.

Thanks, this video helped me learn this song. I've been listening to Casiopea for as long as I can remember.

Glad I could help! Same here, Casiopea was one of the bands that got me into learning bass!

This is so great, I can't even describe how happy I am to finally see someone with good quality casiopea bass covers BESIDES u214d! If you do any more casiopea, and if you want to stand out from the rest of the cover players, I'd highly recommend covering some of the more "obscure" casiopea songs like "life game" and "strasse" or "from over the sky" and if you really think you'd be up for the task, maybe take a look at "olion" and "air fantasy" Thanks!

Ellery Ballou I can't even describe how happy hearing that makes me! I shall keep that in mind. I'm definitely planning on making more Casiopea and also other J-Fusion bands like Trix, T-Square and Dimension. I also love Akira Jimbo's solo albums so yeah, more to come ;) (I'm not making exclusively fusion covers tho) ---Damn, I hadn't heard u214d's covers before, but they sound flawless!

It is, that was my first bass and the bass that I played for the first few years. Currently I'm loving my Sire V7 Marcus Miller 5-string bass, you can spot it on the 2 newest live vids I have from my school gig last spring! :)

mark prell Haha, that is crazy :D Thanks! They make their basslines themselves as far as I know which sometimes makes it tricky to actually play them :p

man i just started learning this and it’s a beast! do you have any tips for getting it up to your speed?
@BassAri7 ай бұрын
Playing it slowly to get it right and then ramping up the tempo as you figure it out. It's a patience game as it needs the repetitions, occasionally I like to practice tough lines while watching a movie or something else. Also playing above the tempo you can play it cleanly in is a fun way to push your limits too, I've surprised myself plenty of times having to just survive in the original tempo. Enjoy ;)
