I was lucky enough to see Casiopea live in my hometown of Porto Alegre/RS, Brazil on 4/24 1987. It was one of the greatest shows I've ever seen. As if their virtuosity weren't enough, you could tell thy were really enjoying themselves, and it was uplifting. They would even do a little choreography on some songs! Amazing! I feel really grateful for that one fantastic evening, and I hope they are all doing great.

Casiopea are extremely talented, don’t get me wrong, but what sets them apart from other fusion bands of the time is that their skill isn’t at the forefront, the music itself is. They aren’t showing off for the sake of showing off, they’re playing catchy, funky memorable tunes. Casiopea are entertainers first, and the fact that they’re really fucking good musicians is just the cherry on top.

Have you seen the video of them onstage with T-Square playing Fightman? It's even better with them altogether.

Eyes of the Mind is such a solid piece of songwriting, every single version of this song that they recorded was incredible. Casiopea shine so much as song writers on songs like this, and then we get guitar solos like this one just to remind us how insanely good they are at actually playing these songs too. Once in a generation band for sure.

Heard this for the first time in December 2019. Safe to say that after non stop listening of their entire discography for the past months, these guys are my favorite artists by a LONG shot. Mukaiya and Sakurai are so inspiring to me I picked up playing keys and bass after YEARS. Thanks from the Netherlands, OP :)
