It's a shame that Takashi Sasaki is rarely filmed. His playing is hipnotic and a delight to watch.

@@s3fruit969 I recall seeing a video of him playing in a band in a club around 2016/17. Although I can't find the original video, I did find this site that gives more information of his recent activities playing in a band called the Okazaki Trio www.kariyabass.com/?p=2694 I also found a playlist that is compiling a bunch of old bootlegs and newer footage solely around mr. sasaki: kzbin.info/aero/PLMgBrTVDhedomNocyYJ5DExyN_eibjZDD

This recording is the embodiment of 70s. The big hair, the weird purple filter, the close-up shots, the band improvisation.
@bebemichelin425 Жыл бұрын
The purple filter might just be due to faulty contact in the connectors. If the video has been numerized from vhs, a couple of connectors might have been unavailable at the time, and the only info that got numerized was the video in shades of magenta

I think the same, Tetsuo´s job here is flawless.I like the fingerpicking in this one better than the slap used in later versions.
@MowLawner7 жыл бұрын
I like both versions a lot, but I definitely think that this version is unique in that it definitely conveys the jazz influence in Casiopea better than the Mint Jams version with Akira Jimbo. Plus, you get to see how competent and versatile Tetsuo is on bass; everyone who's heard Domino Line knows he can lay down some sick slap, but in particular this version of this tune, and in my opinion Time Limit as well, showcase his capability plucking as well. One of my favorite bassists to study. Also, sorry for replying to a 3-year old comment.
