The purple filter might just be due to faulty contact in the connectors. If the video has been numerized from vhs, a couple of connectors might have been unavailable at the time, and the only info that got numerized was the video in shades of magenta

I like both versions a lot, but I definitely think that this version is unique in that it definitely conveys the jazz influence in Casiopea better than the Mint Jams version with Akira Jimbo. Plus, you get to see how competent and versatile Tetsuo is on bass; everyone who's heard Domino Line knows he can lay down some sick slap, but in particular this version of this tune, and in my opinion Time Limit as well, showcase his capability plucking as well. One of my favorite bassists to study. Also, sorry for replying to a 3-year old comment.

佐々木さんの演奏、素晴らしいです。 私が思うに彼はリズムの取り方が大きいのです。その方が断然いいです。 彼はこの若さでその事を体でわかっていたのでしょうか。 私見ですが、この映像の時代以降、日本の商業音楽全般のリズムのとらえ方は 間違った方向に行っちゃったように思います。いわゆるJフュージョンも Jポップもグル―ヴのない安っぽい単純な８ビートが氾濫しました。今もかな。 こんなドラマーが活躍していたのに何ででしょう。 このMidnight Rendezvousは佐々木さんの録音したデビューアルバムが 一番（リズムは）いいと思います。 私はベースを弾きますが、彼のドラムはすごく魅力があります。

、高中正義といったインスト楽曲が国内でも流行りましたね。第2期クリエイションも一部インスト楽曲あったような。その中でもテクニック押しでカシオペアは仲間内でも大人気でした。ドラムス佐々木さんの脱退は音楽の方向性の違いだと言われていますが真実はどうなんでしょう。この曲は佐々木さんのドラムスがしっくりすると思います。カシオペアも私が中学生の時はライブハウスメインでしたが高校生になると主要都市の大きな会場でコンサートを開催していて、都内、神奈川は通ったことを思い出します。😊

六本木PIT　INN観に行きました！　佐々木隆のドラムを聴いてカシオペアが好きになり神保に代わって聴かなくなりました。BILLY　COBHAMを思わせる佐々木さんのドラムは圧巻です。

今思うと佐々木氏の方が生々しくて、グルーブがあっていいですね。でも当時としては神保氏の方が洗練されてると思ったし、カシオペアが意図してか知らないけど向かおうとしていた、売れ線≒インストポップ？には合ってましたね。 神保も当時はバカうまいと思ったけど、音色はタイトだけどリズムはそんなにタイトじゃない気がしてます。

良い悪いは別にして、例えば当時はスペースサーカスのようなバカテク志向のインストバンドが他にもあって結局そういうバンドも今では知る人ぞ知るような短命なバンドに終わってるのを見ると、のちに神保さんが加入してポップ志向になっていった結果、商業的に成功してホール規模での全国ツアーをするようになって、海外でもライブをするようなバンドになっていったのは、方向性としてはバンドが長続きするうえではしょうがなかったのかなと。 こういう方向性のまま変わらなかったら、多分カシオペアも行き詰まって早くに無くなっていたのではと思ってます。 ちなみに自分も初期の荒削りで血気盛んな演奏も、その後の洗練されていった演奏もどちらも好きです。
