this is Casiotone with sinusoidal synthesis, different than other Casiotones. Also great analogue percussion.

Have you ever try to use a sustain pedal with your casiotone ? It doesn't work with mine but I don't know if my casiotone doesn't work properly or if I'm not using the right type of sustain pedal...

Just got a Casiotone 701. Worth it for the analog drum sounds but main voices all sound like organs. Of course that’s down to the basic sine wave only synthesis. The oboe and bassoon have a slightly different tone, but piano and electric piano are basically percussive organs as are vibraphone and celeste. That said I love it for its simple purity which forces you to be creative. Amazing that this came out around the start of 1980 when home computers were still on the horizon… yet these were the first home keyboards I think to have an 8 bit microprocessor and memory in the case of the 701. I also have the Yamaha PS30 which has better analog sounds but prefer the construction, user interface and drums of the early Casios.

Yo lo tengo y estoy enamorado , hay que mezclar con otro y ponerle efectos a todo y el squencer en re basico pero si lo retocas con delays y faser !,,, es sublime . Un sonido unico y personal. Es para los que les gusta el sonido analogo y meterse. Si ves este tutorial ….. y si te queres matar.
