Wow. I didn't know the Harrier could do something like this, and so easily too. I love learning about these jets and I'm seriously considering this module once I get a PC to run DCS.

She’s a fun little plane... buggy at times but fun.

The Harrier is an extremely capable platform. but to be honest it's strength is not in a high altitude long distance fight & flight, low altitude high speed sneak attacks are its strength and for that reason it is a fly by the seat of your pants zipping through the trees and yes I mean through the trees type of aircraft and while it can be loaded down heavily with bombs it greatly affects your ability to control it and that in turn greatly affects the ability to use it as a low level high speed attack platform as depicted in this video however if you need it to be it can be but it's not the most effective way to employ this aircraft in this sim pilots opinion.

Altough I do like punching in targets in the CDU on the A10C, this looked very easy and as a pre flight procedure it wouldn't break the sim aspect
@CasmoTV3 жыл бұрын
Yeah I liken it to premission planning and just loading the targets via data cartridge. Thanks for watching!

Great stuff, but when using the tpod in TOO mode, im having alot of issues with the tpods slewing keeping inverting so left right is up down etc and it goes really sensitive jumping hundreds of metres in the slightest tap. Are you experiencing this too or am I just doing something wrong?
@CasmoTV3 жыл бұрын
You know I just had this happen last night. Can’t remember what I was doing with it at the time. The sad reality is that RB/ED keep breaking the harrier. The DMT currently is bugged and the hold modes are about as useful as my nipples. I wish they could sort this bird out.

For the slew issue make sure the pod is SOI. I know this was my issue after the update that changed it... Paddle switch x2 to make pod SOI. NVM that's just what I bound it to.

Many thanks for this - any idea how to unload targets as I cannot clear them off my Knee pad to reload new targets ?
@CasmoTV3 жыл бұрын
You have to do it from the ground. Not sure you can erase and do more.
@violentnomad.3 жыл бұрын
You can clear through the CAS Page, select the targets and press ERAS on the ODU.

As you said, another player (like a scout) can place the f10 circles on targets. Can that be done while you're on station with the bird or only while you're on the ground/carrier deck?
@shagrat473 жыл бұрын
Yes, though AFAIK you need to be careful to have only ONE scout place marks at a time! There is no distinction between different Harriers.
@Redryder793 жыл бұрын
Gonna have to give it try! Thanks!

Is there a realistic way to aquire the gos coordinates aoart from f10 map cheat ... Like picking building on map from plane and getting coordinates etc? Especially in heavy fog so no lantirn possible?
@CasmoTV5 ай бұрын
I mean if you can look out the window and get a grid you’re a better man than me.
@keepwalking60415 ай бұрын
@@CasmoTV i am inclined to ask how real pilots get a coordinate on a building.. you fly a chopper, you see a building, can you lase it and ins or whatever can calculate latitude and longitude so you can program the jdam or relay this to artillery system or friendly? in real life.. in dcs its different but in real life how do you get coordinates, you must get them somehow otherwise how does cas even possible. and obviously in RL no f10 map button
@CasmoTV5 ай бұрын
@keepwalking6041 right you use a map or you use optics/lasers. But your post said weather prevented use of that… so without a map (F10) and no optics…
@keepwalking60415 ай бұрын
@@CasmoTV ok, so map, but can't dcs make some non-magical map, where u know u use it as pilots do, isnt' the grid on maps available

No. If you want to ripple JDAMs from the A-10C you have to use markpoints
