OMG I'm in tears. She was called home softly and tenderly, and if she had to go, I'm grateful she left us that way. This is proof she could sing ANYTHING - gospel, country, broadway, R&R, folk, you name it. What a talent, a great beautiful soul she was.

Cass was such a beautiful soul. I have a friend who personally got to sat beside her at Woodstock back in the day. I always cringe when people make jokes about her weight or the erroneous 'fact' that she died by choking on a ham sandwich----all lies. She deserved better. And she despised being called, "Mama"

@@ThitiCE Hey Thiago! Thanks again for this. This is truly one of my favorite songs by Cass! I don’t know if I told you this before, but I’ve been a Cass fan since hearing her as a 15 yr old teenager with the M&P. I loved them. They brought so much happiness into my life at that time in my when I was trying to figure out who I was. I am now a 68 year old divorced grandfather. My sixteen year old granddaughter likes Cass too. I think that is so cool!! Never in my life did I think Cass’ music would still be influencing people today. Just goes to show you what a wonderful and talented singer she is. I say “is” because I believe in the afterlife and hope to meet Cass someday there ! You and I should communicate more often. I wish you much happiness I know you are much younger than I am, but I would urge you be true to yourself. Don’t let anyone tell you that you can’t be different. Remember Cass’ song “Different”. It is such a true song! Take care of yourself. God loves you just as you are!!
