Thanks for your input. It doesn't surprise me at all, as she had a very strong rapport with her audience on every project, but especially that very first one, introducing cheesy horror films. As a boomer born in1960, you can bet that I was glued to the TV on nights when she was on. I have learned that she identifies as a lesbian now, and it doesn't change a single thing about her to me. She will always be the sexy, spooky crush that all of my friends loved. Her personality is just so self deprecating, and yet flirty that I wish her a lot more projects to come. A true super star, if there ever was one.

Completely agree. I met her about maybe 7 years ago over at the Kamikazecon in LA. I felt like a goofball when I met her because I've been in and out of a wheelchair the last 15 years. I've almost died twice within 15 years. First time I almost die from a chemo overdose when I was in the hospital getting treatment, and almost out of a stroke a couple years ago from covid. Again the Ghost of Christmas past where cancer rose it's ugly head again. What had happened was The covid strain I caught mutated within me and was trying to absorb the cancer fragments I still have floating around in my body. Just like a bee sting or a food allergy I had a allergic reaction to it and developed a minor stroke. But I remember when I first met her I felt like a complete dork because the table that she was at, the tablecloth that was draped over it kept getting stuck in my wheels in my wheels. I was walking it at the time, and I think I had stuff in my hands, so I was having difficulty pushing everything up to her, I felt like I was doing a Jacques Clouseau routine from the pink panther. Felt like I screwed up a bit, but I thought she was a delightful woman, and would love to meet her again. Even if she didn't remember who I was. Very sweet woman.

I've met Elvira twice and I must say she's the nicest celebrity I've ever met. It was at a World of Wheels car show in Denver mid 1980's. She was walking towards her booth and I was trying to get a picture of her as she passed by. The moment she was in front of me to get a picture a few people jumped in blocking my shot. Cassandra noticed this, stopped, parted the people in front of me and posed. I'll never forget her generosity. Plus she went to school in Colorado Springs, Colorado.

I got to meet Elvira several times as a kid, she did appearances at carshows in the Tampa Bay Area in the ‘90s. I met Big Daddy Don Garlits, Ed Roth, Peewee Herman, a bunch of others. It was a lot of fun coming up around that.

I didn't know the extent of her career. I just remember that Elvira was used to introduce and comment during a weekly scary movie on TV (either Saturday or Sunday). Some of the material she recited was hilarious, whoever wrote it.I saw her as an excellent comedian. Her presentations gave her an iconic mystique as well.

I had seen her in one of my Dad's Playboy Magazines that he "Thought" he had hidden under my parents bed that me and my brother found years before. I called my brother up and told him about my "awakening" and he said we both would go to Dad and tell him this story. Dad howled with laughter and before you know it, we three were up in my parents bedroom going through his vintage 1970's Bunny Collection and BINGO...we found Miss Cassandra Peterson in Living Color. I fell in love with Cassandra in the 80s while in my twenties. What a woman, she is as great as Lucille Ball, a pioneer, had to make it practically with little help from the most powerful in Hollywood. As Elvira her natural wit, charm and impromptu comedic timing was just amazing. Come on America give this amazing woman at least a star on the walk of fame.
