Bought a ticket just to be on board with this 😌😌😌 please make it come true, I love love love the ordinary and recently burned my skin by using both the alpha arbutin (and not a little amount), in combination with glycolic acid. And as a slow learner, when I noticed my skin was acting up, I thought, let me do that TWICE PER DAY 😭😭 got huge breakouts and now it's recovering but damn need that info. 🫠

I love that you are still focusing on The Ordinary, most influencers moved on to other trends. But The Ordinary has some of the best products and after years of trying different products, I've come home to The Ordinary. The quality is excellent, but you really have to be a bit of a skin care nerd to reap the benefits. My favorites are many and I've recently acquired a whole new slew of products and my skin is glowing. The actives can be mixed w other products. some of my favorites, the ATIP in vitamin F, EUK 134 (my holy grail) the Buffet w copper, Pycnogenol, the new Retinal, and I'm trying out the peptides for hair and for lashes and brows. I even love the 23% Vitamin C that I use as a mask a few times a week.

I have been using The Ordinary for years now and found a perfect combination that works for my skin. Using the short quiz on their website along with trial and error and using their products correctly and consistently, I have skin that looks years younger than my 71 years. (My docs always ask what I'm using.) The products that I didn't care for didn't break the bank but that learning process allowed me to get my perfect skin regimen for very little money. Highly recommend The Ordinary! Thanks, Cassandra!

As someone who admires The Ordinary, I believe it’s crucial to also give credit to the co-founder, Nicola Kilner, for her remarkable contributions to Deciem’s success. Alongside the incredible team, Kilner and Truaxe’s vision and dedication have been the driving force behind the brand’s journey. Their innovative spirit and unwavering commitment to transparency have resonated deeply with skincare enthusiasts worldwide, including myself. Recognizing their personal impact not only honors their legacy but also underscores the collaborative spirit that defines The Ordinary’s enduring success.

anything that is affordable and affective is an A+ in my book. Plus, you trying everything like shampoo on your face is such a vibe. A lot of products were gatekept by the medical community until we started seeing a more diverse product selection and when youtubers (like you) were like "hey! don't do what I did. I will show you!" and I appreciate that about you! You rock Cassandra!!!

The ordinary squalane cleanser actually helped me enjoying washing my face cos no more paper skin! I've tried quite a few other products from them and even with sensitive skin, I'm good. Just don't try all at once! I've seen that happen a lot with my friends. Of course you gonna irritated your skin if you use 4-5 exfoliating products at once 🤷🏻‍♀️ Be kind to your skin

The ordinary’s Salicylic Acid 2% Masque is by far my most favourite product. it was a game changer for me. When I wake up in the morning after using this mask revolutionary. I don’t know why you don’t like it - it’s the greatest. Also, their prices have literally doubled since January2024. They are still more affordable than others. But I hope they don’t get too far from what the founder originally envisioned for this company.

The Ordinary is my favorite brand. I use their products every single day. They are amazing products. I do feel like I have so many single ingredients that I can't use them all and it can be complicated, but what I do love is that I can always drop down to the minimum number of products for my skin at any point. Makes it easier to do with single or double ingredients.

Idk who is saying The Ordinary isn’t raising their prices, because they have consistently raised their prices every January for the last 3 years!
@EnvyBlu
@EnvyBlu 3 ай бұрын
Exactly. The whole point of the Ordinary being low in price was because each serum is basically one ingredient it focuses on, then added a couple fillers and preservatives. Well if they’re raising their prices, then I was thinking, why should I buy from them, spend more money for each serum with one main ingredient? Maybe I should get a serum that has all the ingredients in one bottle. Because now it’s actually expensive to buy 5-6 The Ordinary serums compared to how inexpensive they used to be. They’ve increased their prices quite a bit actually!

The Ordinary is my overall favorite skincare brand. And honestly, bottom line is the price. I can recommend products from The Ordinary to friends who are either really new to skincare or who really don't earn enough to splurge on it. I love the simple, basic labeling. Simple ingredients. And honestly, it's all really effective if you get the right product for you.

an underrated product from the ordinary is their 100% squalane oil. Yes, it's extremely simple, but that's exactly what I love. As someone with oily and acne prone skin, I can say that I LOVE this! At PM I usually dab my moisturizing cream on my face and then put a few drops of squalane in my hands and massage the cream in. This works so well to avoid dry patches and irritation when I use epiduo. Might not work for everyone, but that product deserves more love in my opinion!😁

I tried the copper peptides and loved it, so I tried the p&l one. I was so disappointed. Went back to the ordinary and with 2 uses saw the difference! Also newly loving the Aloe & NAG. I have rosacea, and when I learned it has azelaic acid, it made so much sense! So good and not too powerful for my sensitive skin. Soothes irritation from the tretinoin I've started a few months ago. The squalane oil is phenomenal and so inexpensive. Love love The Ordinary.

The barrier support serum sounds awesome 😎 My skin's immune system is super reactive, so I can't use actives like retinol anymore. Even saying the word retinol can set it off. The ordinary's founder passing away so young breaks my heart. 😢

I highly recommend this support barrier serum. Growing up i was always combo/oily, had spots but never proper acne. Turned 30 and my skin shifted to combo dry, and just got drier. Finally got diagnosed with hashimotos (low thyroid) and started meds which helped but after collecting a bunch of immune conditions, dry skin became a major issue and I also started getting eczema flares on my face and neck. The support barrier serum i first got in the 2023 slovember sale, at the same time as my first eczema flare and have used it daily since. My skin still leans dry but now its not sensitive,/reactive/ flares at any little thing (basic moisturiser used to set me off and I had to use aveeno baby dextra line for a while). I also use the oil cas recommended. Tried the b oil too but couldn't deal with the smell. At least with the ordinary if something DOESN'T work out for you personally it hasn't cost you an arm and a leg. Was definitely a learning experience switching from products designed for combo oily to driest deserts skin and now thankfully more of a dry/normal depending on the area of my face. However my previous products (also mostly the ordinary) didn't go to waste as i passed them on to friends for them or their family members to try and they found products that worked for them. I still get the odd hormonal break out but I switched from the ordinarys regular salacilic acid serum to the one in androdunous serum which is good for those with dry skin but still works on spots! My back log of the other salacylic acid went to my friend's 14 yr old ( i bulk buy every slovember sale).

I LOVE The Ordinary brand. Their products look good on a guy's shelf and girls appreciate a guy that actually has a proper skin routine. Mine is super simple. Still using the squalane cleanser morning and night. During the day I put on the Multi-Peptide + Copper serum and I put the Aloe + NAG serum on top. NO moisurizer (Even though I have the Beta Glucan moisturizer, I just don't use it anymore). I have puffy eyes so after those 2 serums are on, I also use a product call Celyn for my eye bags. At night, it's the squalane cleanser and then the Granactive Retinoid 2% Emulsion. Literally every night, no moisturizer. Once I realized I was giving my fact the right nutrients (coupled with a good diet), I no longer needed a moisturizer. But...I just ordered the 2% Retinal Emulsion, so I think I'm going to need the moisturizer again, or, I'll put on the aloe on top or first to calm the skin down. Don't exactly know which one is going to work best yet, or if that'll even be necessary, but I'm going to start using the new 2% Retinal on Sundays and see how that works with the Granactive Retinoid 2% Emulsion all other nights and take it from there. Sounds complicated when you type it all out, but it's really super simple and I'm ecstatic I ran into this brand. What's even cooler is that between Sephora and Ulta, you can get your hands on just about all of their products. Happy camper over here. Thanks for the videos, Cass.

Despite all the changes since its inception, TO has been and will always be my ride or die. It was my gateway skincare brand, and as a fellow Torontonian I have such a soft spot for the brand introducing me to the wonderful world of skincare, and making my skin change for the better. That said, they need to launch an SPF! They discontinued their mineral sunscreen but I don't think anybody really liked those anyways.

I love their Ascorbic acid + alpha arbutin. Wearing it after their glycolic acid is really a game changer for me. Alternating it with Cosrx's snail mucin serum and niacinamide & hyaluronic after that. And topping it twice a week with 0.1% tretinoin that I mix with moisturiser, right after the Cosrx's snail mucin and niacinamide & hyaluronic. On trtinoin day I will always do double moisturising. My skin tone is now even. Supple. Brighter. And look more youthful. Especially on the days where I am able to get enough sleep... Oh, and of course, sunscreen

I used to swear by the ordinary but the last year have moved away from a number of their products. I find that their hyaluronic acid makes everything I apply afterward pill. I then swapped it for the inkey list HA and it did improve, but that didn’t fix the issue. When I then took out the ordinary niacinamide too it fixed it completely. I still use their glycolic acid and a few other bits but those two in particular made everything pill (for me).

Would love that video of every ordinary product and if you could say for which skin type do you think it would work best on and if they leave your skin feeling greasy or anything (much how you did with your sunscreen videos)

I love everything I have tried from Ordinary and I appreciate their pricing. Very sad about the founder's passing

I used to buy expensive products and thank to you I realized they had next to nothing of the ingredients I was looking for like retinol, so now my whole routine is based on The Ordinary products

I enjoy the ordinary a lot but it's happened a bunch of times that a full shipment gets lost on its way to me and they've never really used good customer service in that case. Right now I think it's happened again and I'm already tired thinking I'll have to get in touch again and probably won't even get a response, ugh.

Hey, Cassandra - Another great video! I especially like the ones featuring The Ordinary because I still haven’t dipped my toes in the water. I don’t know if you have this kind of pull, but has The Ordinary ever considered a redesign of its label? I like the uniformity you displayed I the video. I like “The Ordinary.” in bold, with or without the period. It’s distinctive. We all know it’s The Ordinary. But I’m old. What is the actual product? Oh, I found it: underneath a line, in microtext. Is there enough real estate on that label to identify the product within? Asking for a friend. : )

I'm surprised with all they offer that a tranexamic acid product isn't in their catalogue. Would love to see a 2-5% tx and alpha arbutin (without niacinimide). Maybe you agree you can pay is along to them Cassandra :)
