As a Puerto Rican woman I can confirm in our culture using olive oil as a moisturizer is considered a “beauty secret” that being said I would never buy her olive oil stuff… olive oil works great for me but I also know other women who haven’t had the same experience I do. I believe genetics play a huge part in what will work for you.

That's true if your using a filter ... ya that says it all
@Saturns48
@Saturns48 Жыл бұрын
I think the easiest way to tell if a filter is on is that when she applies any product there is no sheen or gloss to her skin. When your skin is damp and you apply a serum etc. your face is glossy. When you apply a moisturizer you can see the cream as it is applied, smoothed around the face, and then disappear as it distributes. Her skin tone remained totally flat the entire video. I noticed this in another reaction you did to a young celebs skincare routine; she rubbed her face and produce a perfect pinkish tone around her face. It made her look like she had gently blended blush all over her face. I agree that using filters in these videos is dishonest and can set people up for failure and making them feel bad about themselves bc they don't look like the filtered version.

I am around her age. She’s definitely had procedures. But she did them so naturally so just own it. How refreshing it would be if they just said what they got but then they couldn’t sell sell sell (because they don’t have ENOUGH money). Also, if all these things she “always did” worked… why did she need a skincare line? She can’t claim her skincare line did this to her if they just came out! Know what I mean? She’s gorgeous and should be proud procedures or not! She did it RIGHT!

Jennifer has amazing skin. I do think it’s partially from her getting expensive facials and I bet she gets things done like Botox , micro needling etc. she has beautiful skin tone too. I've always used what is proven to work on facial skin. Retinoids, AHA, BHA, moisturizer and sunscreen and BPO for adult acne. I used Clinique from age 18 into my 30s. At 40, I started with Paula's Choice. I grew up on Lake Erie's beaches with no sunscreen but it's not tropical latitude type sun. Then, with sunscreen on... I spent 4 years in Florida, and now in SoCal for 40 years. I did stop sunbathing in my late 20s. My skin looked comparable to J Lo's until I was about 55. Many thought I was 45. I routinely see a dermatologist now for a lip condition unrelated to skin damage. I see Resident derms at the VA, a different one each time I go. They all remark on what great skin I have. It is possible to have good skin just from doing the right things from early on. With money and a public image, I believe J Lo does get treatments, botox and any pampering she desires.

@@gi2121 was it coconut oil virgin, or smth that contained coconut oil; because the populations that used coconut oil indigenously for thousands of years had and have no problem; i have heard this throughout the medical community and beauty industry, but chemically coconut oil has the the highest percentage 48 % of lauric acid as compaired to other nut oils and lauric acid is the only oily acid that is antibacterial; for indigenous populations they used handmade coconut oil on rashes, open wounds etc. So maybe it is the modern manufacturing process that has certain contaminats; so it can be obtained through wet/ dry process, is it virgin or refined? en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Coconut_oil

Questions to ask: 1. Why does your face appear to be encircled in an unnaturally light color? 2. Why do you appear to be barely touching your skin? 3. Why are you wearing false eyelashes while cleansing your face? 4. Why are you the only person on the planet born with no pores anywhere on your body? However, all those Instagram and KZbin posts are remarkable. I’ve remarked on them myself from time to time. BTW, having no pores is unhealthy, but you’ll save on deodorant

Hope you had a nice holiday Cassandra! Always love the reactions to celeb skincare routines 😊 Also, plugging a personal concern here: as a fellow cyster myself, I am finally considering laser for acne scar removal (ice pick, boxcar, rolling scars). I am, however, a bit worried, as both a friend and my mother recently mentioned examples of people they personally know who noticed a significant loss of elasticity, and even sagging and premature aging of the skin a little while after. No matter how much I've tried to look up resources that might help me figure out if this is a legitimate concern and side effect of the procedure, I can't find anything I really trust (I'm already suspicious of most doctors and aestheticians here trying to sell you the procedures, instead of actually caring about the patient sadly, so even a consultation is something I'm suspicious of in itself). I would love if you could possibly give us a little insight into this. I realize you must have access to a lot more resources and research than we do, and I assume you must have seen a lot of people who may have had the procedure and observed its long terms results. I would hate to do something about my scars only to end up looking like a prune in my 30s. Thank you in advance for any response to or consideration of the topic.

My opinion: Ever since I've started using J-Lo's Cleanser (to remove makeup) my skin hasn't had a cystic acne outbreak since. I don't know what is in it but I'm going on almost 3 years of using "That Hit Single" and I refuse to mess with what is working. NOTHING I used before ever worked, I've spent $1,000's of dollars trying and now finally I have a product that works. I also use her sunscreen for my face, neck, shoulders and hands and I have yet to have an issue or an outbreak, again this us after 3 full summer seasons. So I do consistently purchase 2 J-Lo Beauty products... 1) That Hit Single Cleanser 2) That Big Screen 30+ SPF. Try the Cleanser 1st if you are prone to acne... especially cystic acne.

While I'm not on the whole olive oil thing, Jlo does actually look like a celeb who hasn't had work done. And if she has, it's very subtle. Her face isn't pumped and filled with filler like Megan Fox & Madonna. She has wrinkles and fine lines around her eyes and mouth area. It's very visible when you see her without the filters on the red carpet. Good for her for not going overboard or if she's had anything done at all.

Agreed she looks good, but I doubt it’s because of the products she’s using here. She definitely goes to the derm every few weeks for treatments that are probably outside 99% of everyone’s price range. Also, I bet she has a nutritionist, a personal trainer, assistants and nanny’s to help with stress, etc. All this factors into aging as well.

in europe it is common to use olive oil, honey on your face as a mask if you are not allergic; there are long traditions from mothers, grand mothers that use eggs or as she says mayonnaise on your hair; beer was used to rinse hair and then you put curlers in your hair - this was done in the 70'2 80's in eastern europe in communist countries because they did not have hair spray; beer has vitamins B because it is made of cereal yeast and after drying it did not smell and set the curls great; egg has protein; vinegar in rinsing after washing closes keratin on hair; nettle tea was also use for rinsing; walnut leaves tea was used for keeping brunnette colour and enhancing it and against dandruff; other examples ice water in asia; that is why asian cosmetics are incredible they are based on traditional medicine and cosmetics, and they use a lot of active ingredients and their cosmetics are relatively ok priced because 99% of active ingredients are asian outsourced; so if chanel uses niacinamide or hyaluronic acid they price it at 100$-200$, and they still use parabens, but Joseon for example is 10$ and has a lot of other incredible ingredients

She’s done other videos from her bathroom where she shows us up close her skin no eye makeup on just saying . I love this line I was skeptical at first so I bought the set of everything like a travel kit for 55$ loved it so much I am now doing the auto delivery thing. Her cleanser is amazing takes off eye makeup with no burning of the skin I use her serum it’s amazing and then the blockbuster moisturizer. I have tried them all Lancer was the last before this . Lancer burned the snot outta my skin even my hubby asked why my skin was so red cuz it was on fire 🔥 lol!!! But JLos is the only skin care that doesn’t burn my face my skin is sensitive. And it does make u glow I no longer wear any makeup on my skin and I’m 50 OH her eye cream is amazing I do not have one wrinkle not because of her line but family genes it’s not as expensive as some other lines out there so for me and my skin this is all I’ll use on my face / neck.

Who doesn’t get special facial treatment nowadays . Micro needling , Prp, chemical peel , radio frequency etc are all luxury treatments that normal consumers are purchasing . Of course she has the means to get the latest high-tech technology ..nothing wrong with that. She is one of the most natural celebrities out there . If she did facial surgery she kept it very natural! .. I would want to know her surgeon!! Lol.
