@@Emilia497 so then wouldn't you have to moisturize it?? Most oily skin is natural and not necessarily caused by dry skin (you're describing more the process combination skin goes through). Regardless, all skin types benefit from moisturizing. You said "you don't have to moisturize if you don't have dry skin, not that you don't have to moisturize if you have oily skin". Now you said oily skin is caused by dry skin. And in that comment you said if you don't have dry skin (which you meant you do have to moisturize if you do have dry skin) and then you said you didn't mean oily skin.....just confused. could be a double negative grammatical error on your part or a misunderstanding on our part? Can you clarify?
@skinsciencebymira4 жыл бұрын
DrSnape dry skin is typically caused by a lipid depletion.... someone oily isn’t also dry, those are two different skin types and you can’t be both oily and lacking oils unless you’re combo. You can definitely be both oily and dehydrated though and have impaired skin barrier function. Excess oil production is primarily caused by hormones, not external factors.

For the last 3 years I have been patiently looking and trying out products that might work one by one, as budget allows, and keeping up a skin diary (TroveSkin). I can see improvements now although I can only afford the basics (cleanser and moisturizer). Although I still get acnes and scars and my skin texture is still kinda rough, it soothes me that even with strict budget and patience I can get healthier, better skin. So... @CassandraBankson5 жыл бұрын
Taurus Brit 18:05 May answer that ;) Also excellent question about sunscreen and moisturizer! The truth is, mini sunscreens have ingredients that are moisturizing, and for those who don’t have specific skin issues, a sunscreen can double as a moisturizer. Some people put their sunscreen on before the moisturizer because it has a better chance to soak into the skin. If you are using a chemical sunscreen, there’s nothing wrong with doing this and using a moisturizer to lock everything in. However, if you are using a physical sunscreen, it is best to use it as the last layer as long as you are making sure to apply it evenly throughout the entire face. I hope this helps, and I appreciate you being here!

I'm a little annoyed when people who have absolutely no whatsoever dark circles, say they have dark circles. Because I have dark circles real dark circles! Sometimes people are insecure about something they literally don't have!!! I wish my under eye skin were like hers, that little puffiness is NOTHING

The thing is, people might see themselves in a way that others don’t see them. Someone might think they have bad dark circles but others might think the opposite. Also, she didn’t say she has dark circles at the moment, she only said that she does get dark circles from traveling and she uses an eye cream that helps with brightening her under eyes.

4:35 honestly tho, for the past few months I've been crying a lot because of stress and that made my eye area hella dry, so much so that no concealer would sit without creasing. I tried moisturizer alone and wasn't happy with the result, I tried a heavier eye cream and wasn't impressed but what I find helps me is a light gel-like eye cream. I know a lot of dermatologists and experts say that eye cream is crap but I see a better result when using the right one

DIET, is the most important thing for clear skin. period.
@bdebakedbeans4 жыл бұрын
No. Diet won't fix your skin. A lot of people get skin problems stemming from hormonal issues, environment, allergies, or any kind of health issues, as there are so many and everyone is very different. Eating well can help in some cases, but it's important to go get a proper consultation with a dermatologist who is a medical specialist instead of a random KZbin commenter who generalises a statement they've heard once and apply it to everyone in the world, which makes people feel bad if adopting a good diet hasn't fixed their skin. Bye Karen.
