Cassidy is 💯 % correct. Eminem knows rap better than the average black rapper. He has studied all the greats. Rahim, Biggie, Tupac, D.O.C, he has mastered. He's not the greatest because I can't relate to his music but his ability to rap is better than what's going on today. If Eminem could relate to all black struggles, he would be neck to neck with Tupac and I think Tupac is the greatest.

@ScottThePisces5 ай бұрын
It's not whether he's the GOAT or not, it's the fact Umar said he CANT be the GOAT because of his skin colour. As far as technical skill and respect, homage, giving back to the culture and communities, Eminem has done a whole lot more than the majority of "GOATs", but Umar wants to discredit his life's work because of his skin... Also worth noting, Eminem himself doesn't consider himself a GOAT, he sites Rakim and Redman as his GOATs.

Hip-Hop is the only genre that welcomes other groups and blesses them w/ GOAT status. Eminem is the GOAT while Nasir is irrelevant. Black men who do heavy metal music have never been and will never be blessed w/ GOAT status in heavy metal music. Impossible. See, the heavy metal community has too much respect to bless "outsiders" w/ GOAT status. I agree, the "but they just feedin' they family" argument is a big reason as to why the culture is so fucked up. Let a bunch of Afro-Dominicanos start singing mariachi music. The Mexican community would have a field day. In country music, Mickey Guyton has been fighting for 10 years to be accepted in country music and she sings better than all of her contemporaries. She'll never been blessed w/ GOAT status. Hip-Hop is just way too welcoming.

GOAT means greatest of all time, not just great for their time. Shout out to all the pioneers who paved the way for the culture. Eminem has earned his spot as a legend and people can make a GOAT argument, but personally, I'd give it to Rakim or Nas. Race will always factor into the Eminem debate and I believe that people are being disingenous when they discredit Em, based on his complexion. Dude is extremely talented and technical, supports the culture, respects the culture, and has remained true to it. The only thing that really takes Em out of the GOAT conversation (for me) is his subject matter, but that's not racial. The same can be said of Lil Wayne tbh.

This is ems toxic fan base for you. They went wild because he said he can't be the best rapper of all time. Umar acknowledged em is talented.
@devotheambivert98755 ай бұрын
Dr. Umar is still racist. If a person has real talent, has a real penchant for what he or she does, brings real contributions, and has real respect for this genre, why can't a nonblack artist be considered one of the greatest ever in a music genre that blacks innovated? If a white man said Jordan, Shaq, and Tim Duncan can't be among the greatest ever or the greatest ever because they're black, he would get cooked incessantly. There would be nonstop outrage if a white man said that. Why isn't the same anger for Umar there? Because Umar is black, he can do no wrong. He can do no wrong in the eyes of the people who idolize and worship him. Umar is in the"oppressed" group. That is why he can get away with this hatred, detestation, and odium for entire nonblack races. Umar supports the exclusion of artists because of their races. That's racism. Blacks are capable of racism just like the rest of the races. You don't have to own companies or be in power to be racist. To be racist, you just have to prejudge another person based on his or her racial group and think your race is superior. Blacks can be racist. That's a fact. You can't fix past racism with present racism. Two wrongs don't make a right. It's not good. It's not right. This antiwhite hatred needs to stop. This causes more bs and division. Hatred of all forms is toxic. Racism of all forms is toxic. It needs to cease. Why can't people prioritize mindset and morality over color and race? Prioritization of mindset and morality over color and race needs to be normalized for real. If everyone who judges people based on race stops judging people based on race, society will be better. I know everyone who judges based on race won't stop. Racism won't go away completely unfortunately. But, if there was less racism, society would be better.
