Eminem has earned his spot as a legend and people can make a GOAT argument, but personally, I'd give it to Rakim or Nas. Race will always factor into the Eminem debate and I believe that people are being disingenous when they discredit Em, based on his complexion. If you didn't know that, you've probably only heard his straight up hip-hop stuff from 96 to early 2000s. Which is my favourite era too. But Kamikaze, which is more recent, was good because it focused less on pop and more of a return to rap for hip-hop folks.
