In this full interview, Cassidy speaks on his return to battling after a four-year hiatus, where he recently battled Goodz on Smack/URLTV's "Resolution" card. Additionally, Cassidy shares his thoughts about the battle rap culture in general, which he claims to have revitalized with his return to the sport.
Elsewhere in the interview, the Philly emcee reflects on how he stood tall when he was facing life in prison for murder charges back in 2005, where he ultimately got 10 years probation and credit for time served after being convicted of involuntary manslaughter. From there, the conversation shifts towards current events that include Nipsey Hussle's untimely passing and Tekashi 6ix9ine's racketeering case, as well as his prior experiences with 50 Cent and R. When I say the crowd took the second, I seen the crowd cheering bars that Cass used that were not even punches, entendres or metaphor. I seen them clearly booing fire hot finishers he used in that same round. If that was the temperature of the spectators, Cassidy was going to loose regardless of how hot he was or not. The crowd was biased and if the judges were influenced by the temperature of the crowd, that is wacked. I believe the whole URL wanted to see Cassidy eat his ego. The lead up to the battle clearly displayed this. I can't say shit against Goodz because he is as ill as they come, I'm a fan. But Cassidy walked into that storm knowing it he was the object of everyone's angst and he still came with it. He said that Goodz has no dirt to dig up and he still spit fire at him. I judged that battle factoring in all of this. But if it was about the lyrics and nothing else, Cassidy lost 1-2 on the strength of the dirt Goodz had over Cassidy. If he wouldn't have come with that tranny shit, it would've been a tie to me. Again, my opinion, nobody else's.
