It could potentially come up again in the RICO case the feds are building against him; of which Cassie is allegedly cooperating with them now. But civil proceedings have no bearing on criminal ones, and it’s already been explained that she went that route bc it was the most she could do individually at the time. To your question, he paid out bc he didn’t want to risk going to court and being exposed further (lmao which ended up happening anyway). Criminal charges/jail isn’t the legal outcome in a civil suit, money is the most you can get.
