@@muchan7112 As a survivor of past abuse, I perceive this as an additional factor that enabled him to exploit her vulnerability. It happened to me also when both of my parents had already passed and I had a limited family network, I was on my own and very young. Likely, she seemed to have been in a similar state of isolation. The heartbreaking part is the struggle to escape. Many are unaware of the life-threats imposed by powerful men, and she was just a young girl at the time. He put a deep fear in her. Watching this... seeing her hand come around her body reaching back to protect herself as he kicked her.. I cried! It really re-opened painful and dark areas for me. It was like I wanted to jump thru the TV and help her! I know it was sometime ago, but the PTSD is real! I hope she is happy where ever she is now.

Certainly while the situation is both Sad and Tragic, and dv is abhorrent behavior, PD should not be thought of as Undeserving of Mercy and Grace. He needs Help, he should SEEK help, and he definitely needs to REPENT and STOP mistreating and abusing women. I also think he should launch an IMMEDIATE campaign to demonstrate Remorse by creating and contributing to LEGITIMATE causes and organizations specifically focused on uplifting BLACK women who have suffered as a result of dv 💜

His apology, like himself- is a joke. First of all, if he was truly sorry- the day he accused Cassie of "looking for a quick pay day" (which he literally quickly paid) - was the time to apologize. If this clown was truly remorseful, he would take full accountability, walk into a jailhouse & serve time in jail. And he said (he was disgusted back then)- yet he paid that hotel to obtain the footage. So, he couldn’t have been as disgusted as he says. As a man he could’ve simply walked away or break up with her. What's worse is attacking a woman- when (she's walking away). He left Cassie with a permanent mark & now his legacy is permanently marked as a psychotic woman-beater.

Is he really a big boogie man? I feel awful for her and I don’t want to victim blame her. But I feel this way about all of the celebrities that made social media posts over the weekend. He was not disgusted or repulsed by himself enough if he kept doing it to her until she was thankfully able to leave him in 2019. Absolutely despicable human being. He is foul and I'm sorry she has to relive this.

What a lot of people don’t understand is narcissistic don’t actually think that there’s anything wrong with their behavior. They never take accountability for their actions. Even his so called apology was all about himself. I’ve been through this and it’s an absolute nightmare. Some of the effects linger even years later. I don’t wish this on ANYBODY.

Thanks for speaking powerfully and directly on this, Jess. Amazing work. You're all saying great things, but this is the best I've seen of Jess yet.
