When I started following you I think you had around 20k followers and I’m happy to see how the channel grow and how relevant the videos are. I do not buy luxury personally because I’m a student but you still make it very inclusive and you make luxury items look more accessible. By that I mean that you go to stores and show prices and explain why something is worth buying and what not. My knowledge on fashion has grown to the point that now I can talk about it without any problems not owning luxury items. And this is why I love your content. As a KZbinr, this video really hits home. I still work my main job and have exactly the schedule you mentioned...work Mon-Fri, batch film on the weekends, edit throughout the week. Work/life balance? There is none. I feel like I'm never not working and it's exactly because of what you said...even scrolling through social media, browsing shopping sites online, or shopping in the real world...it's all connected to work. You get ideas that you have to write down and start planning, you screenshot things or take photos for future videos. It never ends. It is 100% a full time job and then some. Don't worry about running out of content ideas, Cassie. With the kind of content you do you will always have something to talk about because there are always new collections being released. People love your take on the new pieces and you are where many people go to find out about them. You doubled your income!?! Holy cow, Cassie! Good for you! That's amazing! I didn't know Ni also works for himself. That's great and I'm glad you can both be so supportive of each other. Regarding negative comments...they're about the person leaving them, not about you. One reason it can get under your skin is because you're a perfectionist so you notice things you can improve about yourself or your videos and if someone criticizes one of those things it feels like they noticed it too and it reinforces a potential insecurity you already felt. Most of the time, though, they're just being jerks and what upsets me about that is not the rude comment itself but the fact that there are people in the world who think it's acceptable to behave that way. I wouldn't leave comments like that and neither would you so try not to give those people a second thought. Over the years I've noticed that subscriber growth tends to be larger in the spring and smaller in the fall. That could be a factor (that has nothing to do with you) that slowed your growth last year. The second half of last year was particularly rough for that, in fact. Thank you for this video. Cass, I think you’re doing a great job. You’re very knowledgeable on fashion and one of only 3 luxury KZbinrs I follow that actually watch the fashion shows. I use to subscribe to so many luxury KZbinrs. I have cut that number down to three. And that’s because a lot of luxury KZbinrs don’t TRULY know luxury fashion. They buy it because of what it symbolizes, not because there’s a love & respect for the history and products of the fashion house. Cass, there’s one particular luxury KZbinrs that I know must view your videos. She puts up the same videos discussing the same topics you discussed right after you upload yours. Her latest video was uploaded today and she spoke verbatim on what you spoke on your last video regarding the hottest luxury items for 2022. And I did go in her comments and say … “I enjoyed the video! I can tell you watch Cassie Thorpe and admire her work!” 😂😭 She copied your video and named the exact same things and uploaded hers this morning. I know this girl isn’t researching luxury and paying close attention to the similar trends in the fashion shows. She can even name the proper designer names of the products she talks about! So you have other luxury KZbinrs watching and admiring your work. I don’t know if they ever reach out and tell you they admire your work, but you can tell by how some mimick & copy your content. Imitation is the biggest form of flattery, they say. Lol!

Really needed this Cass! Been planning video ideas and ways to film for a channel I want to start and I kept you in mind when I made the decision to start! I think one of your strongest points (apart from your content of course) is your consistency. There aren’t many I subscribe to that have scheduled uploads, and so I know exactly when to watch your channel, or if I’ve missed a video regardless of seeing a reminder. This is random. There’s so many things I love about your content but honestly what drew me in (besides your hilarious tiny jacquemus bag review) was you hair. Seeing your in its natural state really appealed to me so much cause you look so chic all the time w/o trying too hard. Growing up I got self cautious about my thick curly hair because my whole family said I looked messy all the time and would straighten my hair before I was able to greet any other extended family. Really interesting video! I love that you’re always true to yourself and you deserve a management company that works with your vision and doesn’t try to make you conform to theirs. Also aaaaall the luxury sponsorships, and 100k and beyond! I think we have the same need to plan/perfectionist tendencies and it’s encouraging hearing how you’re working through that while shaping your own job in a creative field. I have a corporate job but I’ve resolved to move up or find something new if it won’t happen. I’d keep waiting to see if new projects come through or say it’s not the time... I’ve just got to prepare what I can control then go for it!

I once had a business coach tell me, if you don’t have any haters, you’re not promoting your self (marketing) enough. So I’d wear those comments like a badge of honor.
